    purchased car battery from Carquest auto part ************** *******, ** under warranty for 2 years, picked up the battery on February/March 2023, I have a profile with the business. Battery failed multiple times as I had to call road assistance to help jump the car, car won't start each morning due to battery issue, Carquest Hayward I purchased the battery from is no longer in business. Called sister company in the same ********************) explained that I lost the receipt, so I was told that they could look up the system to look for the original receipt, they were not able to find it since I purchased from the other store, however they will replace for a deep discount without a receipt, they are the only business who sell Die Hard battery, also the battery have the date that shows how old the battery is but they will not take that into consideration, I drove an hour to get to the store and when I arrived manager stated that I did not speak to him and that he is the only one who could promise what discount you could get and that he will only give me 10% which in reality does not cover not even for the gas it cost me to drive to the store. The battery is 100% covered by warranty and yet I will only get 10% plus they lost the data that should be in the system since I have a profile with the business, they have always found me in the past, but since the store closed the information they have is not complete. I have asked for a compromised since I lost the receipt I am willing to pay up to 50% especially I was promised a deep discount but when I arrived the deep discount came to 10% which I think is misleading and they just wanted me to come and once there I have no choice but to accept their unfair offer. I believe they have engaged in unfair dealing thus I am filing this complain.
