    Complaint taken in dictation by BBB rep ** 10/03/24 I purchased a lot of movies very frequently from Bombay Music, I have to return them and they get exchanged and they keep getting stuck, and I have a professional DVD player that was professionally installed. So I went there I told them I do not want to buy any movies anymore because they are getting stuck. So I spoke with a neighbor and his said they might be pirated movie. So I went back and he said he going to check the movies and refund me, and I said you did not check the movies before. I still have not receive a refund. One of the other employees say that other people complain about the same thing and the guys name was *******.

    Dear baby 

    Hi this customer we have no complaints as he is our neighbor doing business he know us for last 20 years buing movies . He often exchange movies that day he came with bad mood and wanted to return 13 movies we have two human proof after three months generally we don't exchange movies but as a neighbor we agreed.  But he wanted refund as cash. We told him after exams the movies we will issue the refund next day. As I have to go to Airport to pickup someone. But he start abusing us and threatened us. After that he left . Next day we refund him for full amount for 13 movies with ck

    And mailed to him. as a proof we attach photos.  Now he send us notice demanding $25 for lunch and travel time. He has a next door business. La Quinta where he comes to take care of business. Please take care of this person which he is lying all the way. We were northern California distributor for movies for decades

    I am rejecting this response because:

    I paid with cash as he is not reporting any and all cash sales, he never accepts credit cards, I made a special trip to his store that day didn't go anywhere and he told me in loud tone that I was doing "illegal" business and that he will not refund because he wants to review used and old movies, when he sold the move he did not let me inspect the DVD's and I told him I will not travel again to collect my refund and he always charges me more than $10 per movie and he now refunding me $8 per movie which is short by $26.00 I need this plus my mealtime and travel expense to waste my half day with him in fighting for pirated movies and I will have this all investigated by ************************ and *** for such crimes, also If I do not receive my refund for the letter I wrote to him I will file an action in court for all fees due in the coming weeks in *********************;

    I will make sure that his business practices is in jeopardy with illegal business practices with BUSINESS AND PROFFESSIONS CODE SECTIONS.

    I will not take this lightly i will fight this until i am satisfied the management of Bombay music can call me to discuss but i will need full refund i will not cash check until BBB says it is ok to cash. and if cashed i will not waive my rights to claim further. if this is agreeable let me know.

    I would like to add where he reported income from the sales of such  movies to *********** of Equalization because he pockets all cash sales that is embezzlement with the state tax reportings. i heard from source  Employees that he is paying them cash not on payroll meaning he is not paying any taxes, for employee tax or withholding taxes for his 4-5 employees which is fraud, also he is paying vendors cash for merchandise purchased, so he barely enters anything in the cash registers and pays everyone in cash, and bypass the city and state taxes, plus if he sells movies where is the revenue applied. they seem like scammers in this business
