On June 20, 2024 I took my car to JS automotive for alignment. I informed **** , the owner, That my alignment was pretty spot on almost and thats the only thing he had to fix was getting my steering wheel straight and aligned with my tires and along with any other minor details that he said he would do up on a rack with a laser. When I went to go pick up my car, he informed me to get my steering wheel straight. He had to max out my Right side tie rod, but that it was within specs. Immediately this didnt sit well with me Because I told him what he needed to do, and I didnt understand why he would have to max out one side. As I drive my car over the next week, I immediately noticed my front end popping making crazy sounds it never has before. I can only describe it as it felt like the springs in my suspension were about to burst through the hood of my car Anytime I turned or over a dip or a bump. Realizing that this alignment was causing obvious damage to my front end and suspension, I put my car on Jacks and took my front tires off to inspect his alignment. I have some moderate knowledge and experience with working on cars, More than the average person Id say. The only reason I didnt perform my own alignment is because I dont have the tools Or equipment Required for the precision specifications. No, when I took off my tires My right side tire rod was very obviously completely maxed out and stressed out like he had stated. Ill be turning the wheels back-and-forth and found the popping was coming from my suspension and it was causing a lot of unnecessary stress on my vehicles front end.Upon trying to fix his mistakes, I discovered why he maxed out one side. He Cross threaded the jam nut and was covering his mistakes by maxing out that side of my car. Unfortunately, for him, I work on my car and know what Im looking at. I Would love to provide more details for you guys. I also have videos. I gave him multiple opportunities to make things right.
