  ***** appeared very charismatic upon first meeting him. As the week progressed, his lack of professional integrity and commitment to our job was showing up. He did not show up on several days due to another job that appeared more important than our job. The work he was performing affected my wife's office space for that week which caused some considerable loss to income. At the end of the job, he did not complete any cleanup or have a walkthrough. Later that evening, he called my wife and proceeded to use foul language claiming nothing else needed to be cleaned up although we had provided multiple pictures to him. The next morning he threatened us with a mechanic lien until he was paid. Later that weekend, we found separation in the wood joints. No walk-through, no cleanup, and at this point are not looking to have him back at our home due to his angry and erratic behavior. Please be cautious and discerning with this contractor

  When we initially quoted this project the homeowners were told that the total duration of the project would take between 5-7 business days to complete. The project started on Tuesday 4/16 and was completed the following week on Tuesday 4/23. Even though there was additional scope added to the project (which we tried to but were never compensated for). We were extremely diligent working around, trying to accommodate the homeowners schedule. There were no concerns brought to our attention until after the project was completed. On the final day of the project, we attempted several times to notify the homeowners that the job was complete and to give them the opportunity to perform a final walk. We were ignored several times and then told that they were too busy to do so. Therefore, we left the project and felt it was 100% complete at that time. The following day we inquired about final payment owed to the company and were treated very disrespectfully by both **** and his wife ****. When we attempted to get clarification as to why they were unhappy, they both became very belligerent, hostile and angry. After multiple attempts to discuss this matter professionally, we were told to "screw off" and not to return to their property. In 15 years of being in business, I have never been so completely disrespected by any of my clients and threatened to withhold final payment for labor and materials that were provided to the project. Therefore, i had no other choice except to file a Mechanic's Lien in order to get the final payment. This did not sit very well with **** and he continued to berate me via text messages and make threats towards me and the company. On the advice of my attorney, I did not respond to any of ****'s childish attempts to get a reaction out of me and by the end of that day, we were paid in full for the work that was performed and completed within the quoted time frame. It is very unfortunate when a situation like this arrises. We tried to handle the matter with respect, integrity, and professionalism, and were not met with the same treatment.

  If you are looking to have upgrades done on your home, I would highly recommend Mountain View Builders! Chris is very thorough, responsive, affordable and does excellent work. He is very professional and polite and gets the job done on time. You will not be disappointed. Happy customer
