      I am writing to inform you of a fraudulent account that has been opened in my name with AmeriFirst Credit Union (AMER FST CU). I am a victim of identity theft and did not authorize the opening of this account. Below are the details of the fraudulent ******************************** Name: AmeriFirst Credit Union (AMER FST CU)Opened Date: 3/7/2014 Account Number: *********High **********************: $47.00 I respectfully request that you close this account immediately and remove any negative information associated with it from my credit report. Additionally, I would appreciate confirmation of the account's closure and any relevant documentation regarding the fraudulent activity.Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

      This complaint does not belong to American First Credit Union, Brea, ** . Our data base has been searched and there are no records. We often get confused with other credit unions with similar names. I recommend checking with America First Credit Union.

      I deposited a money order for $800.00 into my banking account (savings account) on 12/16/24. I received an email that said my $800.00 was deposited into my savings account. The money has never been deposited into my savings account and when I called the bank, they told me I need to resubmit my money order. I don't have the money order any longer due to fires in *********** and now the bank is telling me I won't receive my money.

      Our member attempted to deposit a money order on 12/16/2024 utilizing Remoted Deposit Capture (***), however, the deposit was rejected due to missing the proper endorsement as required under the ***************'s Regulation CC. The endorsement requirement was disclosed in the Remote Deposit Capture (***) Disclosure which was provided to the member when first accessing *** through the mobile app. The deposit was not successful, and the member would have been aware of the status of the deposit.

      The member advised that she no longer had the money order and was advised that a stop payment could be placed by the purchaser, and a replacement money order issued. The credit union provided the member with a copy of the money order to assist with the information that may be needed for the money order stop payment.

      The credit union spoke again with the member on Monday, 2/03/2025 and a letter was sent to the member on 2/04/2025 outlining all of the above, including a copy of the *** Check Requirements which includes the endorsement requirement. Additionally, we provided another copy of the money order for the member's reference.

      We trust that we have provided the member with all of the information required to successfully use ***, and take the next steps necessary to stop payment on the existing money order.

      I am writing to express my concern regarding the misleading pre-approved credit card option displayed on **** website. This experience has negatively impacted my credit score and left me frustrated with the lack of timely resolution or accountability.On your website, the option to apply for a pre-approved credit card is prominently displayed. In the financial industry, the terms pre-approved, pre-approval, or pre-qualify universally imply that the process involves a soft credit inquiry to provide terms or assess likelihood of approval before proceeding to a hard credit pull. This practice is standard among banks and credit unions, allowing consumers to review their options without impacting their credit scores prematurely.However, after selecting the pre-approved option on your website, I was shocked to discover that it was indistinguishable from a traditional credit application and that a hard inquiry was immediately conducted with Experian. On the afternoon of January 1, 2024, I contacted your customer service to address this issue. The representative informed me that the loan department was unavailable and advised me to call back the following day. I followed up on January 2, 2024, and explained the situation to another representative. I emphasized that my concern was not solely about the inquiry itself but also the misleading language on your website. I requested that this matter be escalated and the website language corrected to prevent other consumers from facing similar issues.The representative assured me that an email would be sent to the relevant team and that I would receive a call within 24 hours. Unfortunately, no one contacted me, and when I checked the application status online, I found that my application had been denied.This experience has not only caused unnecessary harm to my credit but also impacted my ability to secure credit with other lenders due to the additional hard inquiry.

       American First Credit Union website does not have a "Pre-Approval" option. Our mobile application has an option for existing members who were pre-screened for a pre-approval to apply online. 

      This consumer was not pre-screened or selected for a pre-approved credit card by American First Credit Union. Additionally, American First does not have any credit pre-approval campaigns active at this time or at the time this consumer applied.

      As a courtesy, American First Credit Union will remove the credit inquiry.

      I made two mortgage payments $2200 first on September 4 and again on October 2 through American First bill pay. The payments were made to ************** but I put in the wrong account number on the one on September 4 and my account was not ************************. I erased the ****** onBill pay and put in the right account number for October 2 and it was not ************************ to my account. Ive been able to get on Flagstars site and have the payments deducted from my account to keep my mortgage current.America first bill pay said the payments were electronic And they cant stop payment on them

      American First Credit Union (****) assisted our member in September & October 2024 providing the Electronic Trace Number, File Trace Number, copy of their **** statement and account history in an attempt to resolve the issue with our member's mortgage company for the September & October 2024 payments initiated by the member.  

      Following the filing of this complaint **** reached out to our member again. We were successful in conducting a three-way conversation on 12/09/2024 between ****, our member, and their mortgage company. Additionally, we provided the supporting documents again. The member's mortgage company acknowledged receipt of the funds and will process the refunds.

      American First updated thier website 3 days ago. I am unable to get into my accounts. Need to pay bills. I have tried to call, get hung up on or busy signal. Want to know whe. My funds and accounts will be available

      ?Commencing on or about June 5, 2023, I fell victim to a multilayered scam operation orchestrated by Eamom (***********) (the Company), with the design, development, manufacture, promoting, marketing, distribution, labeling, and/or sale of illegal and outright fraudulent investment services," all of which aim at contributing to the goal of robbing and defrauding clients, through a predetermined cycle of client losses to gains. ?Money was transferred from my account via debit card, and through an intermediary named ******** in the total amount of 800 USD utilizing your services.?Additionally, it is vital that you will immediately take all actions within your power to remedy the situation, whether by raising chargeback in respect of the transactions in question or reimburse me and credit my account, for the full amount of these payments, in the total amount of 800 USD!

      This is a fraudulent account AMER FST CU ****************** there are discrepancy on my credit report and this account needs to be deleted. I have **** **** **** **** **** 82 as a receipt number in certified mail that I used sending them my letters showing inaccuracies on my credit report. I have send them a letter on 06/21/2023 but I didn't receive any feed back and this account hurting my ********************** score. I will file legal complaint if they did not respond.
