Odoo has terrible business practices. They lure you in with the promise to provide all of these wonderful erp solutions. It doesnt make sense to pay for a monthly subscription that you can never use, especially in hopes that you will get the service that you are actually paying for. I purchased a success pack with them for 50 hours as well as a monthly subscription service only to find out at the end of our project that the apps were not going to be able to be utilized as well as the features that they claimed at the sales pitch that they had and we could use immediately. The apps are limited and I was not able to use any of the features or the apps during the subscription. Our apps would have worked hand in hand with each other so not being able to use the rental feature was of course going to affect our projects app as well as our inventory app because they all work in conjunction with the e-commerce site. I basically paid for nothing. I paid over $10,000 for service I was not able to ever use nor was my staff able to use just to find out at the end that they were not going to be able to accommodate our business. They were dishonest all along the way, and then at the end tried to tell me I needed to wait for a developer (which could take 6 + more months of paying for a subscription) to fix the issues that a basic e-commerce site should be able to accommodate. And then they have this no refund policy but you should be able to receive a refund for services that you were not able to utilize. My account manager ******** was lackluster at best and didnt care whether I was happy about the service or not. Overall, terrible customer service and I would strongly advise you stay far away from them until they figure out how to run a business.

Odoo has conducted an internal review of the concerns raised and offers the following perspective:Successful implementation projects require a dedicated and empowered representative from the clients organization to oversee key aspects of the process. In this case, the Assistant General Manager initially served as the primary point of contact during the evaluation phase, and it was expected that this individual would continue in that role. However, Odoo was informed that their employment ended shortly after the contract was signed.Following this change, a lower-level individual contributor was appointed as the new contact. Without a representative with decision-making authority, it becomes significantly more difficult to maintain momentum and address project needs effectively.Additionally, Odoo was not informed of any internal deadline to complete the project within seven weeks. Had this target been communicated at the outset, Odoo would have advised on its feasibility and worked to align scope and resources accordingly. Since this timeline was only shared after the target date had passed, it could not be incorporated into project planning.Lastly, expanded scope was identified later in the process, requiring custom development and a migration to *************************. Such changes are not uncommon during implementation, and we do not believe the project was managed in an unfair or inappropriate manner.

They did not provide the service I paid for. I purchased a bookkeeping software and they were to migrate my information from Quickbooks and set up the system. This did not get done. They never told me they were giving it to a third party to do and he had a lot of personal issues he was dealing with. I was patient for about 3 months and any time I contacted the advisors at ODOO they said they would look into it. They never did. I went to my credit card to dispute it twice but they denied it due to the "no refund" policy. I believe if they don't provide the service they should be made to refund the money.

Thank you for your feedback — we take all customer concerns seriously and are committed to providing the best possible experience for every client, whether a large enterprise or a single-user subscription. We’ve carefully reviewed this case, including all communications prior to the client’s onboarding in August 2024.

Our records show that a joint meeting took place with the client, an Odoo representative, and the official Odoo partner. During this meeting, the partner’s role and responsibilities were clearly explained. Based on this review, we believe Odoo acted in a fair and transparent manner. While we respectfully disagree with the claim that the involvement of a third-party partner was not disclosed, we understand that service issues can still arise. If there are concerns about the partner’s performance, we encourage the client to address them directly with the partner.

However, we are happy to support and help facilitate communication if needed. Please feel free to contact your Odoo Customer Success Manager for assistance — we’re here to help. "

Odoo's onboarding process is best described as painful. I expected it to be a difficult process, but this far exceeded my expectations. The salesperson who sold us the program left the company between us signing the contract and starting onboarding. Odoo then proceeded to not live up to many of the claims he sold us, even though I had it on a recorded video call that these were things we were promised. When I asked for compensation in the form of reimbursed hours for time wasted trying to accomplish something we were told was possible but wasn't, I was "escalated" to someone whose job is to protect the company. He proceeded to "care" about my problems, and I had to wait over a month for a "non-reversible decision" from people who didn't even read my complaints. They told me I would be happier once we went live (we'd gone live over 2 months before I filed my complaints), and that this was normal and expected pain. Their response was laughable at best, and they definitely do NOT care about the customer once the product has been sold.If for some reason you decide Odoo is the best fit for your company, PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR and hire an outside company for onboarding. Their "Success packs" are a joke. They have a checklist of things to help you get started, virtually all of which can be accomplished by reading their online documentation, but for which you can pay the price of at least $100/hour to have someone else find and copy/paste the articles to you in an email. We have found an outside company to help us with all of the things Odoo promised but failed to deliver, so hopefully that can save this, or we just spent a lot of time and money on a failed launch. In the meantime, we're limping along and my employees are manually doing a lot of things that our old "worse" software was doing for us, so I'm also paying salary for tasks a computer could do. It's a big hit for a small business.TLDR: Having their sales promises on video isn't enough to protect you

On behalf of ***************************, we are sorry to hear that you were unsatisfied with your experience. We take customer satisfaction very seriously. We have reviewed the specific case of your project, and we stand by our decision to not offer a refund on the services purchased. As per the signed contract, all sales are final and there are no refunds on Odoo licenses or services, and we don't guarantee implementation to be completed within a particular timeframe or based on milestones. We do feel confident that the implementation was on the right track and we were (and still are) interested in working with you to complete the project to your full satisfaction.

We hired the services of Odoo in *****. This meant hiring an in-country Odoo partner, which cost approx. US$1500. It turned out that the tech person training us was also being trained by Odoo so there was a lot of questions they could not answer. We then had to pay for a yearly subscription to Odoo themselves. We begun to have problems with the system several months back and contacted the local partner but to no avail. We also contacted Odoo, who also did not respond. Odoo begun to reply about 3 weeks ago and we asked for an extension on our contract since we had months were we could not get help. At that time, Odoo found out that the in-country Odoo partner firm in ***** had gone out of business. In the end, Odoo stated that they could not extend our contract, even though the fault was not ours and was their local partner firm and they themselves who never replied to us. For a small business, the investment made on their system has been a very heavy cost to bare.

On behalf of Odoo, we regret to learn about the challenges you faced with the partner you were working with. Although we implement a thorough screening process and maintain high standards for our partner network, unforeseen changes in business operations can occur unexpectedly, as is the case with any company. We understand how unfortunate and disruptive this can be for all parties involved. As per our company policy, Odoo is unable to provide financial compensation or credit for issues related to partners, as they operate independently.Nevertheless, we remain committed to ensuring your success with the Odoo system. If it helps- to support you, we are pleased to offer a discounted rate on our in-house implementation services. Additionally, your account manager will continue to provide assistance. For instance, a representative from your company recently reached out to your account manager and our support department to assist with updating the configuration of your outbound email functionality, and we are actively escalating this matter. We are confident that by focusing on what we can directly manage, we can help you achieve success with your Odoo system moving forward.

I witnessed a white male staff member on 6/9/24 at 2:30 pm on ********** in ********, CA harass three Black teenagers for playing with plastic toys at the public bus station outside. I witnessed him leave his vehicle and aggressively ask for their names and threaten to call the police on them, then proceeded to dial and chased them down the block even after they were walking away. They were clearly minors no more than 15 years of age. While the employee in question made them uncomfortable, he also had double parked his company car in a no parking zone. He left after I pointed out that he was violating local traffic law using a company vehicle and harassing unaccompanied minors. He put the youth and community at risk by needlessly escalating the situation. The ** of Marketing, *****************************, contacted me asking me to take a public ****** review down regarding this situation while offering no solution to the harm caused by the employee to the youth and community members and justifying the behavior based on the fact that the toy in question was a toy gun, despite the number of unarmed Black youth who have been murdered by police for similar reasons. Those considering doing business with Odoo should consider the potential risk to local youth and families of inviting them into the community before working with them-- especially communities of color.

After conducting a thorough investigation, it is our understanding that our employee responded with composure and in accordance with their legal rights when faced with a BB gun while trying to deliver a package at a **** box.
