I recently had my wedding at Los Coyotes Country Club on 7/16/22. Prior to the wedding, I signed a contract with the venue regarding our total cost. This contract is also known as the *** (banquet event order). The *** was signed on 7/9/22. Payment was made online. The first problem was with the appetizers. We paid for 3 appetizers: mini beef wellington, chicken satay, and coconut shrimp. On our wedding day, chicken satay was never served to our guests. Los Coyotes did not inform us of this and we only found out from our guests afterwards that the appetizer was missing. When I spoke to Los Coyotes on the phone the following week, only then did they admit to not serving the appetizer out of negligence. Therefore, not only did they breach our contract, but they also attempted to hide this from us. The second bigger problem was the bar. We pre-paid $3,500 for a hosted well bar on consumption, meaning any well drinks ordered by our guests should have been covered by the pre-paid amount. Unfortunately, the bartenders charged all my guests for alcohol. These transactions also occurred under the table, as the bartender told our guests he could only take cash for the drinks (which is peculiar since one would expect a large venue to be able to do card transactions). After over an hour of charging my guests for alcohol, it was finally brought to my attention when guests approached me asking why they were being charged for their drinks. Los Coyotes clearly breached our contract, which resulted in financial harm to all my guests. This led to many downstream effects and unhappy guests, since my ****************** expectation is that the bar is always covered by the ************** Many guests assumed we had a cash bar, which led to underutilization of the bar for the rest of the night, even after this was finally fixed.I contacted Los Coyotes Country Club by email and by phone in order to try and resolve the dispute but they refused to acknowledge all their mistakes.
