    during a divorce in 2022 I surrendered my vehicle to house of finance corp since then I have been shown a different pay off amount I talked to the dealer were I bought this vehicle and he advised me that he repurchased the vehicle and that the amount was incorrect that house of finance is claiming that I owe on 11/12/2024 **** from house of finance called me on the phone and asked why was I disputing this pay off amount and the reporting to my credit report I told here that the amount was incorrect **** began to say that they had spend lots of money to resale it i told her that I have receipts that I had kept and over kept this vehicle and it was in great condition I do have receipts so im asking for the Better Business Bureau to investagate this false and misleading information that is harming my credit report

    We are writing to provide clarification regarding the disposition of your vehicle and the status of your account.
    The vehicle in question,which you stated was voluntarily surrendered, was found improperly parked at a senior living complex. We were subsequently informed that it was at risk of being towed as the vehicle was not authorized to park on the property. Given that your account was 161 days past due at the time and our attempts to contact you had been unsuccessful, we initiated the repossession process in compliance with applicable laws. The vehicle was retrieved by a licensed repossession agency.
    Following the completion of the necessary legal procedures, we sought bids from licensed dealers. The highest bid received was $5,350.00. To mitigate potential losses and avoid increasing your delinquency balance, we opted to consign the vehicle for retail sale rather than proceeding with an auction.
    It is important to note that we have not charged your account for certain expenses that lenders are legally entitled to impose, including costs related to key replacement,transportation, storage, and other associated fees.
    Due to the condition of the vehicle, the selling dealer determined that the vehicle required a transmission replacement before it could be sold. After deducting the commission and other necessary expenses, the net proceeds from the sale were credited to your account.
