This company claims to have guaranteed pricing. They quoted me $30,000 for moving my belongings from CA to CO. They underestimated the amount of stuff and we needed a second truck. They held my stuff hostage that was on the second truck until I paid an additional $10,000. To increase a "a guaranteed price" by 33% when they were in error in their calculations is wrong. I would like to be reimbursed the $10,000 because I don't believe they should have the right to increase the price like that. If I would have been quoted $40,000, I would have used a different moving company.

My husband and I hired this company for our move this past October. They sent someone out ahead of time to do an estimate.During this process they assured us the move would get done on our day. It did not, items were left.
The entire experience ended up being a disaster. We had quite a few items damaged and some things even completely destroyed.

The movers themselves, two were great, one grumpy head guy who just complained about how much stuff we had, and another who kept hiding in empty areas of the house not working or taking way too long packing an item. Ex. He spent literally an hour and a half taking the legs off my dining room
Table and packing it up. AND he still damaged it!

My husband paid for the insurance which is supposed to cover .60 on the lb for damages. I spent HOURS gathering proof of my damaged items (photos, receipts, photos of comparable items online for the items that didn’t have receipts anymore), and filing out the paperwork for the claim. It took them MONTHS to responds and in the end they offered me a measly $60 as compensation for “any inconvenience”.

    Among the damaged thing:

-My 500lbs electric recliner couch (paid $4000 for this couch new)
-My dining room table (no way to weigh it, and don’t have a receipt because it was a wedding gift, but take a guess on how much a extendable rectangular wooden dining table may weigh)
-a lawn tortoise where the leg were completely smashed in (this tortoise was my late father’s but I had no way to move it myself and paid professionals to do so only for them to break the legs completely)
-a chest of drawers bought last year that the movers dropped and it completely smashed on the ground! I had to pay for a dump run to have it removed because there was no saving it) spent over $350 on this cabinet last year with shipping.

A fiberglass ladder wrecked in the truck. Among other items!

I want a better offer that is more reasonable based on my items otherwise I will be taking this to small claims
