Date of transaction: 06/20/23 The sliding door in the main bedroom and 1 window have both leaked and caused extensive damage to my wood floors and walls. Even after the window was re-installed on 2/20/24, water continued to leak. I am requesting that they cover the costs to mitigate and repair the water damage on my floors and walls with proper mitigation due to signs of mold. And to repair with new windows or refund the costs so I can look for another company. I have reached out to other window companies for their professional opinion. The feedback is that the installation is sloppy and wrong, and that the sliding door looks to be the wrong size. They have been very rude and are refusing to take accountability of the damage, I did not have these leaks before these new windows. At this point, I don't trust they can re-install the same product properly for a 3rd time. The product looks terrible considering it is less than a 1yr old.8/22/23 - First notified about the sliding door leak 11/27/23- Emailed again for sliding door leak fixed and the water damage DATE - Bedroom sliding door re-installed 1/3/24 - Emailed that the sliding door was still leaking 2/9/24 - Sliding door was looked at by project manager 2/13/24 - Emailed to notify that the second window was also leakingheavy rains 2/20/24 - Window was re-installed - air gaps discovered 2/27/24 - emailed to request remediation repair of water damage walls/mold growth is visible 3/6/24 - Sent a Newman employee to remove water-damaged walls (not licensed for water/ mold). mitigation and wasn't going to follow APCD Rule 1206- asbestos testing before cutting drywall)3/5/24 - emailed No response 3/12/24 - emailed w/o response 3/12 - 4/22 Contacted companies to look at repair cost. Window companies look at installations and provide feedback. contractor did a water test and water is still leaking ************ was recommended to me by my HOA. Hi ******.

Our Vice President of Operations, *****************************, has been diligently working with you regarding your situation. He has kept me informed along the way and it seems our record-keeping and timeline of events with details does not match entirely with the information you have listed.

As we have stated many times,we are very interested in finding an amicable resolution.  Below is an email sent to you on March 5th emphasizing our desire to come to a resolution.

As our attempts to remedy this issue have been continually cancelled by you when our crews have been sent, after we had agreed to allow Newman Windows and Doors to remove the dry wall so that we all can see what needs to be done and determine the scope and plan of action moving forward, we will wait for you to do your own action in regards to moving this forward by utilizing ******* from All Coast.
Please have All Coast gather and send photos of all once uncovered so that we may discuss.

On March 12th you said you were moving forward with All Coast.

I will make sure the process is photographed. Once that is removed safely and properly dried out, we can have your team come to check the window's installation, do the drywall repair, and do the molding.

Unfortunately, to date the photos have not been provided.

We will continue to do everything we can within reason and within our capabilities to email, call, discuss, and meet with you and others regarding issues from our windows and/or doors specifically.  It is always our intent to take care of our customers so that they can enjoy their new windows and doors worry-free.

An email with more specific details will be sent to you.

I believed that Newman Windows was a reputable business that put quality first. I went into the showroom, looked around at their different displays of windows, taking a couple of brochures for further study at home. There are no pictures showing how the windows look on the inside track and outside on the frames. Newman windows installed 6 windows, 1 sliding glass door, and a custom picture window with an awning window on the bottom. My purchase for 8 items with installation was $18,930.00 and were installed sloppily. The outside caulk applied was/is dark brown espresso done unevenly & sloppy, excess blobs on the walls etc. ****************** with awning on the bottom wasnt installed properly and would not open. The outside frame colored espresso has silver round dome screws drilled in every two feet or so, with one espresso flush mount s**** in the frame that is sticking out. The bottom has an inch of frame from the building that is hollow all the way across the bottom with a piece of stucco stuck in it on the right hand side. The frame is colored espresso the caulk is smeared on it various places of the frame and gives it a damaged appearance. The installation date 11/28, Newman Windows sent someone to scape the excess grout on the exterior of my condo, it looks like it was scraped off along with stucco. The screen door was not complete and still doesnt have a door catch, its handle was broken. ******* came to fix the screen door and awning window today 1/10/23, The sliding bathroom window looks unfinished with screws exposed and a bottom frame that doesnt cover the bottom track leaving an inch or larger on both sides. I called a Newman manger today 1/10/23 after ******* left. I dont see quality in the job they did for me. I was never told how the finished windows would look or if there are levels of quality at a higher price, never given an option.

      To whom it may concern,

We returned ****'s voice message promptly at 9:50am on Wednesday morning. She thanked our Director of Operations for responding so quickly to her concerns/questions and taking the time to address them individually. We also asked **** if she was available for our Install Manager to come back out today 1/11/23 to review in person with her the things we had discussed on the phone, she responded "yes" and confirmed our visit for 2pm. We did review with **** the steps we had already taken and explained that we had reviewed the next steps with her son when we were out on 12/2/22. immediately after her initial installation a manufacturer warranty service was submitted to address the two manufacturer items, which were resolved on 1/10/23. We did explain that once we have the delivery of the entry window we would be installing and taking care of the remaining finish work in regards to the caulking.

**** stated she was happy that we had already re-ordered her entry window and were just awaiting the delivery date from the manufacturer. **** stated that she was satisfied with the steps we had taken and would remove her complaint.

      Thank you,

      Newman Windows and Doors
