    August 2023 I contacted the Tahoe Bear Box Company. I was told that they had a device that could be installed the following day for $20. The **************** charged my credit card the $20 and did not show up the following day. A week later, August 30th, I received a call from the **************** indicating that they were on their way and asked where to leave it. I was not in the area, therefore, I told them they could leave it by our existing Trash container next to the driveway. Several hours later, the **************** charged my Credit Card $2076.95!!! I did not authorize the installation of this box. If I had, I would have needed to select a size, shape, and features. I would have also needed to get an agreement from the other owners of this property as we have done for nearly 60 years. The owner ***** installed this box without a contract and has been very unprofessional responding to this error by his office staff. In ********** and ******, anyone who contracts to perform work on a project that is valued at $500 or more for combined labor and materials costs must hold a current, valid license from CSLB. The ********************** company does not have a license and has broken Contractor Law. I would like them to remove the box and refund my money as soon as possible. The box was not selected nor ordered.
