We are a company specializing in antiques and 20th-century design sales and rentals for movie set decoration, based in *****, ******.We entered into a contract with Tramo @Home LA at a rate of $36,000 per 40-foot container for local pickups, custom packing and crating, and transportation of our purchases from *********** to their ***** branch.Upon the arrival of the containers in ******, we observed numerous damages, which their Tramo ****** branch itself photographed in their warehouses to absolve themselves of responsibility: broken items, chipped pieces, shattered mirrored furniture, dented metal furniture, seats with damaged fabric or leather requiring complete refurbishment, and items such as lamps and sofas delivered incomplete. All these issues are due to the total absence of packaging and protection on most items, contrary to the service promised on their website and in our contract.Although they acknowledge all these failures in their contractual obligations, they refuse any responsibility, claiming that in our interest, they saved space by stacking our collectible items without protection.Despite assuring us that they would ship all our purchases in 4 containers of 40 feet, for which we have already paid $150,000, they have informed us later that there is still merchandise requiring a 20-foot container. This is a serious miscalculation for professional shippers. They keep our merchandise stucked, as they are asking for an additional and unexpected $28,000 upfront for this container. We had hoped to negotiate this price to compensate for all the damages and problems for which they are responsible. We have high hopes for your help, as we consistently feel rejected both on a personal level and in terms of our arguments. We can provide all the evidence justifying our complaint, photos of damages, items not properly packed upon opening the crates, items before and after damages, as well as our email correspondence.Best regards
