On July 6 2023 he requested $4000 to start the build on the motor, i did agree on the amount because I was in desperate need and I thought because I seen his videos on tiktok that hewl was legit... After a while I kept calling him and gotten the exact same results as a the previous complaints... I just got a message on tiktok yesterday by him saying it's almost ready and he'll put it on the stand next week, but again the same thing with other complaints...Initial Complaint

I contacted ***** from Something sik Customs around May of 2023 and after agreeing that he will build my motor 5.3 and complete the ** swap. He priced everything at ****** ***** for deposit ***** to start build and ***** when I brought my truck in and **** when done and I have receipts for everything. He had a lot of cars and engines in his shop that he was working on. I towed my truck to him on June 21st and brought him all the parts at his brand new shop ************************************************. he communicated with me but would take forever to respond to my text messages or calls he let me know when he was done with something and I had to pay more money. After that responding to my calls or text would go on for weeks and you cant just go up to his shop because he has a big gate around with a lock. Now he does not communicate with me or he will text saying something and say he is going to send pictures or he just needs to test drive my truck before giving it back to me. I havent heard from him in months so I contacted ******* police department and they have 6 complaints that he has done the same thing to other people I go by his Shop and see that people are in there by the cars that are outside but I cannot get to the door because the gate is locked. Im going to report my truck stolen and I am going to continue to go by his shop and hopefully I see him or someone outside.Initial Complaint

On 4/24/23 I contacted ******************************* to discuss a motor and transmission package that they were offering. After discussing and agreeing on the terms and the time frame of delivery, I placed a $4;700 deposit on a 6.0, LQ9, 4l60e transmission to be completed within 8 to 10 weeks (I have the written receipt). I tried several times over the next couple weeks to meet with ********* and set up a time that I could come pick up the motor. ********* set several appointments with me and always cancelled. I tried going to the physical business location and the door was locked. ********* will not return any phone calls that I make to him and has not kept any appointments and instead always finds an excuse to reschedule. Its now four months later and no motor or transmission have been received even though I have paid for these services. I am currently seeking a complete refund and would like the Better Business Bureau to investigate these fraudulent business practices. On 12/12/22 I met with ***** (Something Sik Customs/Drylakeperformance/***********************) at his new shop at *******************************************************, ************* to discuss a motor and transmission package that they were offering. I am requesting a complete refund and would like for either a *********************** to audit and review his fraudulent business front and practices. On 5/30/22 I ordered a motor from ***************************** from Something Sik and put down the $3000 deposit and was told we were about Five weeks out to having it completed and shipped. I reached out on and off throughout the Five weeks. I was told it was getting closer and they needed another $1000 on 6/15/22 so I Paid $1,000 on 6/15/22. I called several times a week for months with no response. I finally received a call on 11/16/22 and was told it was completed and ready and that they just needed to confirm the shipping address and I needed to make the final payment of $2600. So I paid his wife, *****, the remaining balance $2,600 on 11/16/22. I was told a tracking number was sent that day. I never received anything else from until January 6, 2023! The respone said he was sorry for the delay, he had been out sick and just returned and that's why it hadn't ever shipped and I would be receiving a phone call the next day. I have not received a phone call or anything since and today's day is January 16th! A motor that should have been shipped in July/August and here we are in January and nothing has happened. After reading the other complaints I realized I probably was scammed like the others and now just want help getting my money back and warning others that this business is fraudulent and is stealing hard earned money from people with no concerns or consequences. I use my truck for work and it has cost me time and money. How are they still in business after treating people this way? Attached you will find screenshots of the payments made to the ******** and the dates made, as well as email communication including the original agreement stating the five weeks to completion and the amount agreement.Initial Complaint

We purchased an engine build from SomethingSik Customs during their Black Friday special in November 2021. We waited patiently for the owner ******** to complete our build and followed up for updates regularly (which were often ignored). The owner was often posting on his social media that he was behind, dealing with supply chain/COVID issues and or moving his shop and asking his customers to be patient with him, which we were. After months of waiting and hounding him, ******** finally confirmed our engine was done. We scheduled a time for pick up, my wife and I borrowed a truck, took the day off work and the morning of he came up with a reason to need to reschedule. He then never called back or responded to any messages requesting to reschedule. He ignored us for months. Finally my wife tried calling him from her number (different area code) and finally got him to answer. She made him confirm immediately a new date for pick up, texted him multiple times the week leading up to the new scheduled pick up and confirmed twice with him the day before. Morning of he texted my wife at 5:45 with an excuse about his sons football game being at 9 instead of 11 and needing to reschedule. He wouldnt answer our calls, told us hed call when he got off the road and never called or texted us again. He owes us roughly $5,000 or our engine and he has offered either as a resolution. We informed we would be reporting him if he did not respond on 8/15 and he did not. We have contacted other customers who have left complaints on his site and it seems like he is doing this to multiple people. We would like help getting this resolved.
