I purchased heavy duty torsion bars from this company and at the time of purchase, they came with a lifetime warranty. After less than ****** miles of occasional use (this is not a primary vehicle, its used for camping, pulling my small boat and overland meet ***** one of the torsion bars snapped while sitting in my driveway. I immediately contacted the company to file a warranty claim since they had a lifetime warranty. Upon reaching out, I discovered the the company recently was sold to new owners. The previous owner (*****, who is still involved during the transition) confirmed it was a limited lifetime warranty and that they now have a new warranty policy is, of one year. After our initial phone call, I have been ghosted multiple times via email (up to two weeks at a time) and it has been an absolutely awful customer service experience. A new owner (*** ***) is now involved and while more responsive via email, still refuses to honor the warranty that the product was sold with. I am not the sort of person to let go of things so through my frustration and a lack of resolution, I've started doing research into laws regarding warranty and consumer protection (such as *** regulations and the ********-**** Warranty Act) to see what recourse I have and found out that not honoring the warranty that applied at the time of purchase is illegal. This is required federally, as well at a state level in both ** (where I reside) and ** (where the company is located). All I want it the warranty that the product carried when I purchased it to be honored. Again, as required by law. I have even offered to hear proposals for what they feel is a reasonable solution just so I can get my truck back on the road however my emails have gone unanswered.
