This transaction took place on December 5, 2024. We called Selig Construction *** to come to our home to give us a demonstration of their windows. ****** showed the samples of the windows and and how they were made with double pane glass in all of them. He emphasized that since we had single pane windows due to the year our house was built (1982), that these new ones would save us money with heating and cooling. He spent about 45 minutes showing us the advantages of the newer windows. We didn't have any idea how much the total cost would be. He proceeded to measure each and every window in our house and garage, with a total of $20,631. with a down payment of $1000. which we gave him the next day.We have quite a few appointments each week, both medical and other therapy, so we didn't check until a couple of weeks later, that we DO in fact have double-pane windows in our whole house. We called the company the next day to say we wanted to cancel the order for our new windows! The secretary who answered the phone listened to my explanation as to why we wanted to cancel, and I told her that we had been told that we had single pane windows and when I checked them, I found that we had double pane already! She said, "Well, it looks like you will not be needing our services."The next day, the owner of the company called and said, "You cannot cancel, it's past the five days on the contract," We feel that the reason we cancelled is that we cannot afford to pay for double pane windows when we already have them in our house! We consider this a fraud to tell us we need new double pane windows when we already have them! We are senior citizens, and have to budget our money for things that we really need! We are not asking for our $1,000. back.We just want a fair resolution to our complaint, Thank you, ****** and ******** *****

    To whom it may concern,

customer stated a month after the project was completed, and we were funded, that on 2 separate occasions, 2 separate Selig employees told him he was to get a $1,000 refund.   I asked both, ****** my office manager, and ****** the salesperson, neither had any conversation with him about any refund.

Because a relatively small amount, and would cost me about the same to battle with him, I immediately sent him a check for $1,000 as soon as I saw the complaint.

Should be case closed at this point.

    thank you,

    ***** Selig

Hired Selig to replace existing shower with their materials. Install began October 30th. The installation seemed rushed and the work was very sloppy. They had to send different people to get the drain to stop leaking. Asked them to redo the caulking because it was so bad. When they removed the caulking they scratched every panel. To date still do not have a usable shower. The shower door still leaks. They have invoiced me for over $12,000 for the work. They will not return my calls to discuss the situation. Any help your organization could provide would be greatly appreciated.
