SpaGuts sold me a Controller circuit card for my spa and had me purchase the warranty for the product. Upon installing the card it overheated and burned up around the area where the grounding post went to the heater. They would not honor their warranty, stating that I did not tighten the terminal and I caused the issue. I was a avionic technician in the ************ for over 20 years and I know how to install boards. The issue may have been caused due the terminal not being tightened from the manufacturer. instead of investigating they were quick to point the finger and blame other people for there issues.

Purchased Spaguts about 12 years ago. Works great! Straight forward installation. Basic plumbing, and electrical skills needed. I was changing my water and filter today (I do this twice a year) and thought I should give a review after of use. I highly recommend Spaguts. ******************************* **** *****.

Ordered a SpaGuts branded Spa Pack in **** of '21, purchased the extended warranty. After only 2 years the temperature sensor went bad. Contacted their tech support, diagnosed the issue with one of their techs. My choices were to rip out the pack and ship it to them in **********, at my expense BOTH WAYS, and wait over a MONTH for warranty repair, or pay full price for the sensor, which was a ridiculous $80 for a part that's worth about $2.My reward for doing all of the troubleshooting / diagnosis was to pay full price for something that was clearly under warranty ... horrible customer service.

Ordered control panel and heater from SpaGuts ******** service agent (*****) took down all information for my problem.. after back and forth emails to get pricing and set up shipment. Package was ordered April 28th ***** delivered late in the day on May 2nd. I notified my electrician who couldnt get to me right away and put me on the waiting list. Product was intact and appeared to be new. Electrician (************************* from ******* Electrical) attempted to come out on May 29th and scheduled to come back on June 3rd and wasnt able to install. He recommended calling a spa professional to install. We were put on the list to be seen on June 12th. *********** Spa RepIr technician came out and diagnosed the problem as a blowout on the heating element and not the motherboard. He fixed the problem and told me to contact SpaGuts for a return I called SpaGuts and was told the board was more than 30 days past the warranty but that the customer service person (****) would talk to his manager when he comes in approximate date of phone conversation was 13th or 14th of June. On the 15th I emailed there customer service and did not get a reply. I phoned them again and was told that (****) would get back to me (June 20th) I emailed again on June 21st no reply. I emailed again on June 26th.. no reply.. I called them on the 26th as well and was told the (****) had not spoken with (****** the manager) yet. I called them again on June 27th and was told the manager has declined the return request.. I spoke with (****) who was adamant on the decline. He transferred me to (*****) the original salesman who after discussing the matter and during a question hung up the phone on me I was in possession of the unit May 2. The unit is still brand new and has NOT been installed let alone used I found out from my spa technician the existing motherboard was not the problem on June 12th 10 days past the warranty

When customer placed the order on APRIL 27, 2023, at 8:41:28 AM PST, the customer AGREED to the company TERMS AND SALES AGREEMENT in section 6.2 CANCELLATION AND RETURN, which states In addition to the manufacturers warranty, all Equipment carries a 20 calendar day satisfaction inspection guarantee from Seller, calculated from the date of purchase and can be returned unused, in the original packaging for a full refund minus a 25% cancellation fee. Buyer shall return all Equipment at Buyers expense, insured and via a carrier that such delivery is trackable. Any missing parts, manuals shipping material shall be deducted from the refund in addition to the cancellation fee. The Return Period was ALSO emailed to the customer on April 04, 2023, prior to the purchase. According to ***** Tracking ************, the package was shipped the SAME DAY on APRIL 27, 2023, at 11:45 AM PST, and HAND DELIVERED to the customer on May 02, ************* DID NOT contact the company UNTIL June 15, 2023, to request a return. This is 21 DAYS AFTER the EXPIRATION of the Returns Period of May 25, 2023. The company does provide a 1 ***************** for delivery time to request a return, which allowed the customer UNTIL May 30th to request a return. BUT the customer waited 16 Days AFTER the allowable Return Period to Request a Return. Unfortunately, it is too many days past the returns period.

Personally I wouldn't give them any stars. They said they have my part in. They take my money. They never tell me that it's in. They never call me to tell me anything. I had to call them. Come to find out they never had the part. It was out of stock and didn't know when they were going to get it back in. And now it's taking them forever to give me my money back. Still haven't received my money. It's been over 20 days and that's how long they say they have to return your money. Which is absolutely ridiculous.
