I have been renting a postal box at *********************************************************************************. ***** since **** more than 30 years. When I first rented the box, the Store was Mailboxes Etc. and I continued renting when the owner was changed to the UPS Store. #****. I live in ****** and I need a convenient place to receive mail and packages. I now pay more than $300.00 USD a year for this service. I have to travel for work, so I am often on the road for several weeks at a time. I continue renting this box because it is convenient, and my packages and mail are there when I can retrieve them.It is not easy or fast for me to cross the border with waits of up to 3 hours to cross. When I order several Amazon products, I wait until all have been delivered before I lose half a day to pick them up. The UPS Store where my box is located has implemented a policy (without notice and without my consent) to charge $5.00 USD for any package that has been there for 5 days. This illogical policy eliminates the convenience of picking up my packages when I have time and am available. I dont know whether this policy is from *** or is a policy of the individual store, but I would like a clarification of this policy. I am paid up for the year, but if this is going to be the official policy, I will have to look for a more convenient option. I do not abuse the convenience of the store, but this week I picked up packages. Because of the July 4 holiday and because I was waiting for several packages so I could retrieve them in a single trip, the store wanted to charge $5 extra for 5 packages out of 8 received. If they cannot resolve this problem, I will have to look for another option and you will lose a loyal customer of more than 30 years. It is very difficult to complain directly to ***, the store itself does not accept complaints. ******************************* ********************* ************
