I contracted and paid Magnolia Events $1,736.74 on September 30, 2023 for full service wedding planning and coordinating. On October 20th I decided to cancel and terminate contract with Magnolia events after not receiving the services they promised. They did not do anything listed in the agreement and contract, we did not book, plan, or meet. After deciding to terminate contract I was refunded only $936.74 leaving $800 remaining from my deposit. Magnolia events would not give me reason as to justify keeping the $800. There was no work done to justify keeping this amount of money. You will see in the contract under the termination section that they state 54% will be refunded but do not explain why that amount or what they remaining 46% cover. This leads me to believe there is no reason to keeping that amount. 46% of my deposit does not justify any work done, when there was not work done at all. On the contract you will see error in multiple dates that where not changed by Magnolia Events including the contracts dates. These dates are listed as March 9th 2023 and April 27 , ****, I did not reach out to Magnolia events until September 2023 and my event dated is April 27, ****, making even the original contract void. I have highlighted these dates in the supporting documents. I am asking that Magnolia Events pay me the remaining $800.
