      I went to the premium urgent care to get a RAPID strep test, but I had a bladder infection as well. I filled all my paperwork out and signed all the releases. I signed a release for labs if necessary, which I thought would be my urine to test for bladder infection. I was then told by the front desk that I can only be seen for one issue. I chose the strep test because I badly needed it. I was given the rapid strep test, once in the back, and told to wait 7 minutes. It came back positive and I was prescribed two antibiotics. Never once was I told that my rapid strep test, that had already come back positive, would be sent to the lab for tons of other tests and then they would send me a bill for any other amount. I had already paid for the office visit, upfront, because my deductible had not been met. The visit was $162.25. They then called me back to the front to pay and extra $10.06 dollars for the rapid strep test, totaling $172.31 for the visit. I then received a bill saying I needed to pay $567.65 for lab tests, confirming what I already knew, that I did not have anything other than strep. I did not even believe they would send my swab to the lab, once it was confirmed as strep, nor would I have agreed to that if they told me. This was 100% wrong of a company to do. I made a big deal and finally spoke with billing, which they lowered to $283.82. I refuse to pay anymore for this visit and am requesting a billing adjustment. Since I was not made aware that I would end up being charged a total of $739.96 to get a strep test. This is completely wrong and they took advantage of me.

      Good Afternoon,

      We have attempted to make this visit right with patient *************. Attached is the consent form she signed giving us permission to bill. She does not have a bill of $739.96 The remaining bill is for $283.82 after having offered her a discount. Patient also threatened our front desk 7/5/24 at 439pm she would come in and cause a scene if the manager didnt contact her her words were we would have to call the cops to have her escorted.
