      Date of transaction: August 8, 2024 Amount Paid: $1806.61 Business provided: Repair a minor leak under our sink, replace a kitchen sink faucet and outside water spigot.Nature of dispute: It is our contention that we were grossly overcharged for all of the services listed above. After paying our bill in full, we began to realize that the charges seemed way too expensive. According to our invoice, the kitchen faucet cost $947.15, a Dual Angle Stop cost $240.35, a kitchen basket strainer cost $379.05, an Angle stop cost $185.25, a Hose **** cost $255.55. If I had gone to a local hardware store to purchase these exact parts separately, it would have cost me approximately $251.98. The mark *** are ridiculously high. We understand that labor costs were rolled into the inflated amounts, (Labor costs were NOT listed separately in our invoice), and if they were to purchase the same items at any local plumbing supply store, even without the contractor discount, that would mean that my wife and I paid about $1555 for labor. It took them about one and a half hours to complete the work, including having to reinstall the kitchen faucet to a brush nickel from a chrome finish. We weren't "charged" for that. All total, we surmise that we paid a rate of about $1,000.00 per hour for their labor. After a more careful analysis, we are understandably outraged. I believe we were massively overcharged for both parts and labor. My wife and I are retired educators on a fixed income. We are both disabled elderly adults that basically live paycheck to paycheck. My wife and I believe that we have been taken advantage of by *** Franklin ******************************** and we would like your help in getting a fair refund for what we believe to be unfair and deliberately vague business practices. I'm at a loss as to how this company received an "A+" rating from BBB. My rating? "F+" The plus was for one of the installers who indicated that the charges seemed excessive.

      This has been resolved. We reduced the cost to $1,000 and customer is very happy with service.
