About a month ago I had them come out to inspect my ************* They inspected my systems, told me that my upstairs furnace was all good, upstairs ** was low on refrigerant and is not able to be recharged due to california regulations, downstairs furnace blower wheel needed cleaning, and downstairs ** needed a hard start kit. They told me that the only way to get my upstairs ** to work would be to replace my **, which in not true, I found out later that the system could be recharged with recycled refrigerant. With the inspections, cleaning the blower wheel, and hard start kit it was going to cost $1300. They offered a "no obligation" membership to their service program for minor discounts on service and replacement of the ** unit. I received a quote from them on a new system. Because it was a large expense I looked for other quotes. The first contractor that came out told me the k**** on my furnace in the attic were broken off and the door taped shut. This was not mentioned during the inspection by Perfect Star, I can only assume they caused it. I received better quotes on replacement of the system and found out that the system can be recharged. I went to cancel my membership, I told them why (the reasons above), they told me I am obligated for 6 months and wanted to charge me an additional $150. This company lies and over charges for their service. They can't be trusted. Don't use them.
