    When Production Manager asked for 50% of an agreement amount for a deposit, I was not quite sure if I would go with him. Then I checked the Better Business Bureau site that unfortunately did not have any customer comments about this company, Affordable Awnings Company of California, Inc. Without any references, I was hesitant to send him this rather large amount of money to a stranger who I met only once when he came out to give me an estimate. I blindly relied on my gut feeling that he seemed to be an honest person and sent my deposit check.
    A few weeks later, he sent me two people who installed three retractable awnings within a reasonable time. I have found the installation satisfactory. The awning material seems sturdy and the awnings are well made. Although one of remotes responds very slowly and two awnings set side-by-side do not align unless fully extended, I am generally happy with my brand-new shade-making awnings. I have given four stars as I strongly feel the company should provide me with written warrantee material in addition to verbal warrantee.
    You might be on the same boat as I was. If so, you might want to ask the Production Manager for some references and warranty material so you would feel comfortable. Riverside, CA
