This place asks for $80.00 application fee and will not allow you to see the property unless you pay first. The rent for the place I was looking at was $2000.00 when you call they said ******* it's a scam.

On Sunday, June 8 at 1:19 PM, we received this email from ****** *******;I called on one of your properties of three-bedroom two-bath $2,000 a month in upland it was a blue house I texted the number ************ he gave me a website to fill out an application I texted him he would not answer the phone and he said I had to pay $80 or I couldn't even look at the property and that's just not how business is done so I texted him back I said it didn't seem right and that I wasn't interested then I said I do not want my personal information being used for any purposes I told him I reported it to the *** in the better Business bureau is a scam and this is your employees response. I've reported you to do better business bureau and I will continue until your company is investigated.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX On Sunday June 8 at 10:14 PM, we responded to her email;Hello, ****** This is a scam that you're reporting to us. In our 20-year history, we never even charged an application fee, let alone any kind of up-front money just to see a property. Also, we do not offer our services to the 818 area code because it is too far from our base in **************, after just now checking our current listings, I don't show anything that we currently have listed in *******The Better Business Bureau knows us well. We've been a member of theirs for our entire 20-year history, and they know very well that we run a dedicated, by-the-book and professional real estate and property management business. If there's anything else I can help you with, please let me know.Sincerely,**** **** ******* Broker / CEO Landmark Property Management XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX ****** ******* never took us up on making further efforts to contact us regarding her issue. Had she done so, the only way we could have helped her was to suggest that she contact the local police, the Secretary of *************** or perhaps call an attorney. In our 20-year history, we have been contacted at least 100 times by others who have experienced what ****** ******* has, where a fraudster chooses to use our good name in an attempt to mislead and deceive inquirers for rental properties. ****** ******* needs to understand that whoever she called, she did not call Landmark Property Management at ************ in ******, **. She was already told in our email to her that in our 20-year history, we never charged an application fee to anyone; let alone a fee just to see a property. It is also worth noting that ****** ******* says she was directed to a website to fill out an online application. Our company has never provided an online application to fill out. Our applications are the old-fashioned pen-to-paper variety that are only sent to an applicant after we have shown them a ************************* summary, this situation is nothing more than a shopper for a rental property having come across an imposter who chose Landmark as their curtain to hide behind, in an attempt to steal money from an innocent consumer. Unfortunately for ****** *******, she has misdirected her complaint, as she is wrongfully holding our company responsible for her plight - even after we made a sincere attempt to set the record straight.
