Asana Recovery is a straight scam. The Admissions team should be military recruiters with how much they lie to get a client on the hook. Everyone in my house was told they'd get their phones after 7 days, that we'd have an ocean view, a dual diagnoses approach with days full of therapy, fun outings, and collaborative involvement in our individual treatment plan... none of which were true. The CEO is an immense liar and expects staff to "AMA block" and I put that in quotes directly from his words. He threatens to hold a clients' belongings for 72hrs if they try to ***. I witnessed a tech lock the office phone in the med closet to prevent a client from using the phone to ***, on the CEO's orders. When I attempted to ***, the CEO made the tech disconnect my phone call. During my stay in the ***********************, I witnessed 4 AMA's (and I heard it was worse at their Center house). Staff is rewarded for preventing a client from leaving. ***. While I was there, management encouraged a potential client to drive drunk for 3 hours in order to get them through the door. The CEO also advised a facilitator to lie on their group notes in order to bill for a client that didnt actually participate in the group, and I'm sure there's countless more insurance fraud being done within this company. The staff are the only good thing about Asana, they go out of their way because they know how low the quality of care is. The facilities at their IOP program are repulsive & inhumane. They have 9 people in one apartment; 4 in each bedroom with a bunk-bed setup, give an allowance of only $50/wk for food, and the living quarters are absolutely sickening. Asana doesn't uphold their responsibility of maintaining a livable environment. Overall, this facility doesn't have any type of structed program, presents their clients with scarce necessities, and their ethics are questionable at best.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We take all feedback seriously and would like to address your concerns about our AMA blocking policy. This practice is a critical safety measure, similar to how hospitals manage patients who wish to leave during critical treatment phases. When someone leaves treatment Against Medical Advice (AMA), they face significantly increased risks of relapse and potential medical complications.Just as a surgical team would intervene if a patient attempted to leave mid-procedure, our staff is trained to ensure clients complete their necessary treatment phases. This policy exists solely to protect our clients' well-being and support their journey to recovery. While we understand this can feel restrictive, it's an essential component of responsible addiction treatment. We would welcome the opportunity to discuss your specific concerns directly. Please contact our management team so we can address each point thoroughly and continue improving our services for all clients.

Asana Recovery is a total insurance scam. The so called clinical outreach coordinator coached my wife and I on how to get insurance outta Alabama. We had ******** and lived in ********. She walked ** through the whole process on getting insurance outta a state we have never stepped foot in. The executive director admitted to listening to all the recorded phone calls so he's aware of the scam. All the promises made to us before flying to ********** were lies once we landed in Cali. When we started questioning them we were told policy change same day we arrived. We left and they refused to get us plane tickets home. Finally a day and half later after multiple calls to the headquarters they got us bus tickets. The day we left 5 others walked out as well. They were there under the same scam. We were told by these people they were walked thru the same process. If you are serious about getting clean DO NOT GO HERE. We were clean prior to leaving ******** to go there and they told us we had to have some kinda drug in our system or insurance wouldn't cover it. AGAIN DO NOT GO TO THIS REHAB IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT CHANGING YOUR LIFE. THESE PEOPLE ARE LIERS AND CROOKS. HOPEFULLY SOMETHING WILL BE DONE AND THESE PEOPLE ARE PROSECUTED. I HAVE FILED REPORTS WITH MULTILPLE AGENCIES. ITS SAD HOW THESE PEOPLE ARE PREYING ON PEOPLE IN SERIOUS NEED OF HELP. THESE ARE SUPPOSED TI BE PEOPLE WE CAN TRUST AND THEY ARE NOTHING MORE THAN COMMON CRIMNALS.

Dear ************,We apologize if Asana Recovery was not the correct fit for your medically assisted detox. Insurance is the responsibility of the insuranced and it is not uncommon for providers to refer patients to the Healthcare Marketplace to purchase appropriate insurance. If any fraud was committed, this would be on your part. Asana Recovery has nothing to do with applying and providing appropriate documentation to purchase the correct policy. We record all our telephone calls and there was no wrongdoing on our behalf. I wish you the best of luck in your recovery and realize it is very common for addicts to blame everyone for their addiction. Sincerely, *************************, CEO

This place is a scam, ****************** said there are a lot deficiencies to my claims, they charged me 28,000$ for each week I was in detox and residential, where I didn't even receive half of the services the website said they would provide, also I'm Native American and on the site they offered some activities for ** but not once did I receive that unless they saying yoga and reiki is my heritage which is not!!!!Once I completed the 30 days to move to the *** program where they only provided one meal with a 50$ food card to last a whole week, which you also had to buy hygiene with. The groups were held and ran by the clients not the staff and most of the staff is unqualified and incompetent at their job.****************** and I will be looking more into my EOBs to find all the charges that I didn't receive. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE PERIOD

Dear ******, I apologize if you had a bad experience at Asana Recovery. Regarding our billing, we are an in-network provider with Anthem which means we have a fixed daily rate. The amount you are quoting is incorrect. Additionally, all our staff have the necessary state required credentials for conducting and managing groups from RADT to LCSWs. Feel free to have ********************* contact me for any questions regarding billing. We wish you the best of luck.

You saying ********** and Blue Shield is lying your company are lucky I cant post pictures of the statements or I would. The fact you had one of your employees reach out to me to take this review down is pitiful from the company.
