    On Dec 15, 2024 I shared with customer service that my bottle *********************** Actives 40-oz. Spout Water Bottle, Watermelon) was leaking either due to regular wear and tear, being dropped, or some combination of these. This bottle had once been replaced by the manufacturer Oct 20, 2022 due to similar damage from similar circumstances (Actives 40 oz Cobalt purchased on ****** on May 31, 2022 order 112-2012005-9915406). After much back and forth, I learned that the "Lifetime Warranty" is in face a Limited Lifetime Warranty and does not cover Normal wear and tear (e.g. Dents, scratches, fading and paint chips) Accidental damage (including dropped/tipped products) but rather the following (Manufacturing defects, including material and workmanship, at the time of receipt Defective products, Products that experienced damage during the shipping process, Broken or leaking lids due to manufacturing defect, Vacuum Stainless-Steel Water Bottles that have lost their insulating properties). I find such a warranty to be misleading and disingenuous because consumers are led to believe that products may be replaced if/when they fail, but this is not the case. Furthermore, I learned in Dec 2025 that the initial replacement was a one-time courtesy, although this was not communicated at the time of the replacement in 2022.

    Purchased 2 22 ounce Takeya Sport water bottles for $44.99 on 20-April-2024.Sticker on bottles stated they were dishwasher safe.After washing before first use, the exterior of the water bottles were extremely discolored.Contacted Takeya on 29-April-2024 and they replied that they will not cover the product under their limited lifetime warranty.
