Amen Clinics is possibily the most disappointing medical facility I have ever worked with. It's super fake. Like how they treat you, and the help they give you. My partner and I paid a pretty ***** to be told to take some new vitamins, sleep, walk, meditate-everything ****** can tell me. Only 1 appointment out of many were scheduled on time. They had it in the calendar wrong for nearly each check- in call and appointment. Thankfully my schedule can allow for that, but it's the lack of attention to detail that gets me.. Within the course of having our scans reviewed and talking with a doctor we found out our Doctor was leaving Amen Clinics. So right as we are getting "established" with a doctor, he inevitably leaves and we are left with staying with him in his own practice, or try someone new from Amen. I had enough of the absolute ridiculousness that is Amen Clinics, so I found a different doctor entirely to talk about how insane it is that people can legally charge you insane amounts of money, claiming that looking at the brain is so helpful to potentially "diagnose" mental health concerns. I can see someone coming in with a concussion and this being helpful. An xray would be needed. But everything that was being said to me from my doctor reviewing my xrays, felt as though I was being read back my in-take paperwork. Which is an absolutely insane amount of information about someone.. I wonder what "diagnosis" I would have without submitting all of that information. I understand you need both the xray and the medical background, but at some point I realized we wasted so much money on people who don't need more money. Unless you have had a recent injury to your head and need an xray, I do not advise that you ascribe to this model of thought that looking at the brain gives you more understanding of a mental health diagnosis. Sure it's interesting, but just go see a psychiatrist or a therapist. It will probably be cheaper, and get you the results you need.

Dear *******, I want to thank you for sharing your feedback. I understand your frustration learning that the doctor you were seeing is no longer with Amen Clinics, starting his own private practice. This is the first I am learning about your experience and would very much like to talk to you about this, as I would love to work with you to ensure you are receiving the best care possible. I do see that you were offered a new physician within our practice or stay with your current provider at his new practice. We do hope that you reconsider this option. Our practice cares very much about our patients, and if your appointment scheduling was challenging, it is important for us to know so that we can make sure to work with you to ensure your appointments were as expected. It made me sad learning about this in your review. Regarding your comments about "X-Ray", I wanted to address this concern. Amen Clinics uses Brain SPECT Imaging, which is single photon emission computed tomography, a state-of-the-art brain mapping tool that allows physicians more information to help their patients more effectively. This allows them to look deep inside the brain to observe three things: (1) Areas of the brain that work well, (2) Areas of the brain that work too hard, and (3) Areas of the brain that do not work hard enough. Research on brain SPECT is vast with over ****** scientific research articles listed on PubMed.com. Our practice has studied and used SPECT to help ** with complex psychiatric patients and have published 70 peer-reviewed scientific studies on SPECT. I wanted to respond to some of the treatment recommendations you addressed in your review, as I hope we can continue on the journey you started with us. In 2012, we published a study in which we asked 7 psychiatrists to evaluate 109 consecutive charts without brain SPECT scans and then with scans. 8 times out of 10, adding the scan into the review changed the diagnosis and/or treatment plan. In over 1 in 5 cases, the scan revealed an unexpected brain injury, and in another 1 in 5 cases, it revealed unexpected toxicity. And 60% of the time, it changed the medications or supplements recommended. I do hope that you reach back out to us, as we very much want to continue the care you started. Your comments matter very much to us, and I do appreciate learning about your concern but hope we can do this in a telephone conversation. Respectfully,Amen Clinics ******* Clinic Director, ******** **************

I just did my spect scan and was absolutely blown away by the amount of information it revealed about my brain. ********************* reviewed the spect scan with me and better helped me understand what is going on with my brain and what we can do to make improvements. I was so impressed by his observations and experience that I signed up for weekly therapy calls. ********************* was my functional medicine doctor and went in depth with my medical history and blood work. She answered all of my questions, we created a plan, and now we are working on next steps to help me lose weight and get healthier. Amen Clinic has greatly surpassed my expectations. I have had such a fantastic experience with ********************* and ********************* that my son and wife are signing up for their own spect scan and health evaluation.

Total scam. I havent been able to sleep for years. I thought they would help me. All they did is tell me what I already know meditate and exercise(oh and take our ridiculously expensive garbage supplements) Which, by the way, Ive been doing for twenty years already. $4000.00 to tell me to exercise and meditate. Im a nurse and I know what good care looks like. I make sure to offer it every single day. The only way I can sleep is with a small amount of alcohol and Benadryl which, unfortunately, is destroying my liver. I tried to stop and did not sleep 1 minute in five days and they did NOTHING. I begged. BEGGED for something to help me sleep so I dont have to slowly kill myself with substances and they did NOTHING. I had an appointment at 3:30 on Wednesday May 10th. I thought maybe they would give me something to sleep after they got my labs, but here is what happened after all that aggravation (I didnt even write about what I had to go through with the lab) I had witnesses in the car when the doctors assistant made the appointment because we were coming home from the keys.I was hoping to get just trazadone, not a narcotic even, and this assistant clearly says 3:30, on the phone but when I went to the zoom link it says 3 (not 3:30). So NOW not only have they duped me for 4K, they are trying to charge me a late fee! This institution is such a scam I would be stupid to not think every single review here is paid. If you want to see the REAL experience of amen clinics go to the BBB (better business bureau) website. That is where they cant PAY to take reviews off. ****** and yelp take bribes. Not only is that criminal, but amen clinic is altogether. Save your money. They scam you for supplements, brain scans (gee thanks for telling me I have a few TBIs and Im not functioning well. WHY I CAME TO YOU IN THE FIRST PLACE). These people are pure predators. No wonder the yelp reviews and no wonder every other doctor I talk to about them scoffs when I say the name.

Thank you for your feedback. We understand our team has been in communication with you about options to address your concerns, and we are sorry to hear you are unsatisfied with the outcome. Without speaking to your situation directly, we can share publicly that our physicians look at multiple factors related to each patient's medical history and conditions when making medication recommendations.

The services that I receive from Amen Clinic's Dr. ********* and Dr. ********* are excellent. Both of my Dr's work quite well together. Enabling me to truly benefit via their strategies and treatment plans. Their medical history review associate, as well as my patient care coordinators, ****, **** and ******* are all friendly and ensure that I am properly informed about my health and care. If you're (as I was) tired of going to ***** ************ Hospitals and Labs/repeat for years, while growing no closer to answers you've desperately been seeking; Amen Clinic is ********************. They don't care for treating symptoms. They want to find, treat and eliminate the source(s); at all cost. As far as I am concerned; their knowledge, professionalism, time, efforts, compassion, genuine care and honesty; I personally can't put a price tag on. After being sick on/off since being born, I have to admit, Amen Clinic's Fees Match their Services. I would have no qualms in recommending them to my family and friends.

I am a licensed professional. I have a son who has been treated by Amen Clinics. I have read the books. The ***** scan showed my son having the most addictive type of brain. Then their Doctors prescribe him the one medication (benzo) that is the most addictive. Was I surprised that my son ended up with street xanax? No! I was terrified. We all know the connection this drug has to fentanyl. I am just waiting for the day when I find my son in his bed, a strong heart, but no signal from the brain. They know better.
