I hired him after he assured me he was licensed and bonded. With no felons to work in my home. He gave me a bid. And wanted $3000 up front! I told him it wasn't supposed to be for more than $1000. He gave a verbal bid, than changed it to a written one for a lot more. I kept telling him he not his kids were to do the job. That it was him that I hired. He brought children under 18 to work on my home. I went and paid for the flooring and paint myself. Yet he was there and told them that I needed twice the amount in paint and almost as much in extra flooring that I can't return. It was all paid on my card. He kept saying the job would be one thing like the flooring in the guest Bedroom to be done as I wanted. 1 job at a time. When I complained then he wanted more money. They would only work for a hour or two then leave. Often not coming back for days. One little girl he brought to work was only 9 0r 10 years old. He said it was his granddaughter that he is raising and she had the flue! He canceled to many times on me and promised and broke it again leaving the guest Bedroom unfinished painted, no floor layer on it. No trim boards, no finish painting, leaving smears and bleed throughout the walls. No closet door frame put back it place, no closet doors hung. He also My New contractor says broke most of the flooring ridges when he slamed down each box of flooring . He just decided to not come to work on the job and texted me . I told him he needed to keep his promises since nothing has been finished since he started over 2 weeks ago. He declined. So I had no option but to fire him. He is a *******! Than he charged me over $1600 for work he never finished not was asked to do. Claiming that he was charging over $700 for texturing my small guest Bedroom and $420 for painting it. That was only supposed to have been $420 to do the prep and paint, since I had bought the paint. There is more. Why was he having children doing the job? I kept telling him not too!
