    Norton will not allow me to pay for my renewal when I can afford to pay it. They took money out of my account when I did not have the money in there cause my account to go negative so which to have the money returned to my account. I have attempted to get the money from customer service but there has been no money returned to my account. I have called at least twice. they tell me the mon is being returned but nothing is returned. I asking for full refund including sales tax for the amount of $116.59.

    Symantec was a highly respected security company when I was a director for an international telecom company selling WDM. Have retail sales corrupted their commitment to security, their sense of urgency, and their ability to hire and train competent personnel? On 05/29/2022, Norton's email in response to my first attempt to resolve a technical backup issue referenced case number ********. That number "Jack" answering ************ ** **** CDT 06/15/2022 was not legitimate as I tried to alert the company that their customer support line may have been compromised. Jack also told me that the only numbers that would be used to call back disconnected callers to that toll free number would have a 661 area code when I noted the phone agent last night, Michael, called from ************ three times around 1830 CDT when we were disconnected during troubleshooting. Jack disconnected me when I asked for a manager. In May, I tried to backup my PC to an external drive. Simply put, it didn't work. The backup set #1 worked fine to my #1 external USB drive; but, the backup to external drive #2 using a significantly different back up set message displayed after 0.0% data copied was "Complete." The email mentioned above was received after my unsuccessful attempt to explain and resolve the issue using chat. Last night, 06/14/2022 was another frustrating attempt to resolve the issue on the phone. The agent, "Michael," was rude and poorly trained. He told me that Norton doesn't permit backup to external drives, noting that the Norton screen external drives are "unsecured" and therefore not usable! When I asked for a supervisor, he told me to hang up after numerous rude comments. Trying to help the company, I called Symantec's HQ at ************. A cordial individual that referred me to the new headquarters in Tempe, AZ at ************. The CONTRACTOR answering couldn't help. Managers are not accessible. Clients must use forums, chat or 800 numbers. We can't email support.

    I contacted norton because I wanted my them to delete my account which by law is required on GDPR, and California laws, as well as a few other laws. However, Norton refused to close my account claiming that because my account is based in the USA, they cannot delete my account or information which is an absolute lie. By law, they are required to delete a customers account and any information associated with the customer per the customers request, under the privacy act, consumer rights act, and other laws and acts. They also make it hard to uninstall their products, leaving hidden files that we cannot delete from our system unless we factory reset our devices, they are breaking the law and I am reporting this issue because I will not stand for a fraudulent company refusing to delete my account or information from their servers.
