In September I took my daughter to Kumon to be tested since I was thinking about placing her into Kumon reading program. I was asked for my bank information just in case if I decide to enroll her. I gave My ***** my information and I told him I would call him if and when I decide to start her into the program.I never called him to enroll my daughter in the program. On October 1, 2023 my account was charged $231. This consist of the $195 for the program I never enrolled her in and $36 bank fees because my account did not have the full amount. I tried calling him to work it out and all I got from him were promises. In the meanwhile, I have not paid my rent for October because I am short of funds due to Kumon.

11/3 (**********) ******* brought up this situation in mid-October. The parent confirmed her daughter, ******, will enroll. Therefore, ******* set up automatic payment from her submitted tuition authorization form. ******* initiated a reverse transaction on his end, however, the wire transfer never went through after inquiring with his financial institution.
******* and I discussed holding off charging tuition until the student attends his/her first day *********** center to avoid this potential situation in the future.

******* contacted the parent, however, there has been no response. He is willing to write a check and mail it to her. However, she has not confirmed a mailing address where a check can be sent.

I believe I am owed this amount because of the following facts and circumstances:

You asked me for my bank information just in case if I decide to enroll her. I gave you my information and I told you I would call you if and when I decide to start her into the program.

As you know I tried calling you and working it out and all I got from you were promises.
If I dont hear from you within 10 days, I will file a small claim against Kumon.
I have already filed with BBB.

11/6 (LC) Met with ******************************** sent another demand letter to ******* at the center. ******* used the ** Box address on the envelop and mailed her a check for $231.
