I went to purchase 8 artificial flower bouquet ( 10 count each). The price tag on the flowers was $11.99. When I wet to pay I noticed my bill was higher than the amount I calculated. I asked the lady who checked me out why was she charging me $12.99 per bouquet. Her answer was that she is charging 1 dollar tax per bouquet. I told her the tax is supposed to be charged at the end of all the items and I needed her to refund the amount she was over charging me because it was illegal to charge the way she was charging the taxes. She refuse to refund me and taxed me $1.00 dollar per every item bought.

The lady that went to purchase 8 bouquets was priced at $11.99.  The subtotal is $95.92.  Tax is $7.91.  The total amount for the flowers is $103.83.

The lady that said to the cashier that the cashier was charging her $1.00 per bouquet is wrong.  If it was $1.00 per bouquet, then the total would be different. The total would be $103.92. The cashier does not charge tax. It is already calculated after the subtotal. I don't know where she got the idea that the cashier charges tax. The cash register is the one that charges tax after everything is charged. The tax did not come to be $1.00 per bouquet. No refund is going to be given. The total is correct which came out to be $103.83.
