    I called **** to see if he would diagnose why my 20-year-old Onan generator would not start. He said that he did not want to waste my money with a service call so instead he listened to what I had done to repair the problem. Over the phone, he suggested that the genuine Onan carburetor that I had bought on **** was actually counterfeit (it came in an original ******* - **** box and sealed bag) and described how I could test if that was true. He was 100% correct and the test was easy to do. The counterfeit carb was flooding the engine the same way that the faulty original carb was doing which fooled me into thinking that there must have been some other problem. **** recognized that the white smoke coming from the exhaust was unburned gas and not burned oil. **** didn't charge me a nickel and I was able to get a full refund from ****. I fully expect that a new carburetor from ******* should get my generator running like new again. The next time my RV needs work, I will call **** again.
