I paid for my health insurance and my coverage was cancelled because supposedly I did not pay. I have included the receipt; I paid from my **** of america bill pay as I have been for years, to this company. Suspiciously, they cancelled me right after I called to complain because they are making access to health coverage intentionally difficult. As soon as I complained my coverage was terminated, but they still took my payment for this month. My coverage was terminated on 3/12/24 but I paid for the entire month of March. I don't want their coverage but they don't have a right to keep the portion of that payment that was for the remainder of the month.

I went for an optometry appointment at this location in June 2023 under the impression that I was still covered under my previous employers healthcare coverage. A couple months later I received a bill in the mail that I am being charged $200 for that visit. Upon calling the customer service line to figure out what I was being charged for, the representative took some time to review the charges, and attempt to figure out what I am being charged for exactly. After a couple minutes of looking at the paperwork/documents from that visit, she said she was unsure what the charges were for. At that point I confused how they are able to send me a bill but not document what it is for nor know what they are charging me for exactly. At that point she proceeded to offer me a discount of $38 which brought the total to $162, as a settlement to pay the bill at a cheaper rate. I dont understand how they can expect me to pay a bill when they dont even know what they are charging me for. That is theft. Especially the fact that I literally just went for a vision test to make sure my eyesight did not get worse. Luckily my eyesight is still in good condition and did not need to update my prescription nor did I get a pair of glasses. To be charged $200 just to look at some letters on a piece of paper on the wall and expect someone to pay $200 when you cant even tell them what theyre being charged $200 for is absolutely ridiculous.
