      Ive been banking with Patelco for over 15 years now and havent had a problem with them until recently.I deposited a check that I didnt realize was expired, but it said it had cleared so I thought I had money in my account. I checked the account a few weeks later and it had bounced back, and I had 4 seperate $28 charges for overdraft fees from some auto draft accounts. I immidiatly transferred money from my other account to take care of the negative balance (I dont feel comfortable keeping as much money in this account after the fraud situation).The first couple people I spoke with at Patelco were nice and able to reverse 2 of the 3 fees. The third ****** I spoke with reversed the 3rd fee but then started to repeat how it was my fault and Patelco shouldnt have to take responsibility for my mistake. She then said we WILL NOT be reversing this fee for you. Not that they cant reverse it, just that they wont.Its extremely frustrating to be a loyal customer for so long, even after not being able to access my account during that fruad situation, and be treated like this. And to be repeatedly told how it was my fault seemed excessive and unnecessary. It felt like frustrations from somewhere else were being taken out on me.Im very disappointed.

      I have had my Patelco credit card for two years. I have never missed a payment or been late. When my check is deposited into my account, I pay my ********************** card bill on or very near to that day. As I am only paid once per month, my payments are typically sent in at the end of the month.However, for the last two months, I have been fighting to have my June payment credited to my account. I have called multiple times and even went into the local branch. At the branch, the manager in ********* told me she would send a notice to the department that handles these issues to have my account brought up to date. That was a month ago. No emails from her, just notices that my account is past due. I have shown them again and again how my payments are made at the end of the month for the next month. I have done this for two years. Now they are saying I pay my bill too early and it is taken as an extra payment not my monthly payment. Fine. I pay too promptly.I worked in a bank for several years. If anything like this happened, we would have thanked the customer for their prompt payments, ************************ the payment, and let them know to pay after a certain date to avoid the issue in the future.What I have been shown by Patelco is that explaining the situation is more important than fixing the situation. Their approach to someone who pays on time has been completely punitive. What makes this more confounding is that two months ago, they were expressing their appreciation and telling us how much their customers meant to them. The poor response to the cyberattack was bad, but the sheer lack of consistency of this institution is astounding.

      Patelco went through a data breach in July 2024 , they have been little to no help through the whole process in where they where not able to look at accounts.They processed payments on my behalf, they did not and could not see that the account was no funded due to the attak they encounter. I did not feel that my funds were safe so I decided to fund my other account and process payments through it .Due to this my payments where paid double , now I have a negative balance that needs to be paid by 9/30 or else they close my account and report it.i have gone into the branch as soon as they were back in bussiness with wait times of 3 hours with little to no hel

      i disagree with the negative complaints regarding Patelco. The cyber event was not their fault and overdrawing accounts whether or not you can see the balance is the customer's fault. I have had the opposite experience with the credit union. Six years ago i opened a jumbo cd (250k). Opening the account was flawless. I received the published interest rate and on-time interest payments, monthly for five years. Transferring the interest every month to my external bank was also flawless via ACH. The cd was returned one day after it matured so i could quickly reinvest at another bank with minimal interest loss. Because of the positive experience with the cd, i refinanced my home with Patelco. I was quickly approved within 2 weeks and the refinance closed 2 weeks later, on time. The cd rates were the highest at the time, and the home refinance rates and fees, the lowest. I highly recommend the credit union to anyone qualified to join, if you want quick personalized, professional service and low rates and fees.

      I closed an account with Patelco Credit Union in ************. They refuse to close my account and refuse me asset to my account and did not close the account. Please help me.
