We got a strawberry cake from this store on 03/21/2023 afternoon, had it the same night. My daughter then started vomiting Ng every hour from 10pm - 6am the next morning. Accompanied with some on and off diarrhea. This is the 2nd incident with wholefoods bakery. 1st one was on valentines week, they were selling chocolate covered strawberry and she had the same reaction.Bear in mind, our daughter eats strawberries all the time, no allergy reaction with that and not with dairy or cakes. I contacted the store to check if they have a *** with cleaning those fruits as they are well known for possible contaminant. But store manager quickly started cutting me off, mentioning is not from them and that Whole Foods has the highest standards in the market. Im hope so and sure bet they do, thats why we are buying from them with the price we are paying! She has such a bad attitude and mentioning they received this kind of complaints a lot and it is her job to educate people like us that dont know the meaning of food safety! She also ask me to ****** and bring my daughter to a doctor. Do I need her to teach me to bring my 4 yrs old that is vomiting the whole night to a doctor? Of cause I brought her to her pediatrician first thing this morning! She then kept yelling and not letting me talk. I was just going to say Im not pointing fingers but how does she know that the workers are following the *** of cleaning and prepping? I am a food science graduate. I have a degree in that and I have manage a lot of food manufacturing company with QA and QC jobs. Do I need a store manager to tell me Im making things up? Cannot believe the high standard wholefoods market hire such person as manager! I even reported this incident to the health department of alameda! People that do not respect they job shouldnt deserve a job!The ****** store manager name is ****, and I hope the management team can take this into serious consideration of her ***************************
