They "lost" my full-length standing Mirror, and then tried to over-charge me for "giving me the wrong amount of time spent on the move" (after I paid). The owner, *** basically called me liar regarding the unwarranted overcharge (I had to show the venmo receipt of the actual time spent) and he and his secretary, ***, both suggested I was lying for my reporting that their guys misplaced the mirror. *** clearly never took a customer service ******* he not once apologized for the issue, basically told me his customers make these claims all the time (I can only imagine why) and rather than work with me on a solution, he flatly told me there was nothing they could do, refused to reimburse me for the item, and told me they had to go through insurance, which would cost me $500.00 (deductible), which is roughly the cost of the mirror itself. Oh wait, *** did say that he would put it in the file of his workers and that they may be disciplined, like a guilt trip on me for perhaps getting someone fired (which was never my intention or goal). So simply put, they lost my item and forced me to pay for replacing it. Not sure this is what I call good customer service. It also appears from the other reviews I've read elsewhere, this isn't a coincidence or a one off. I would also note that I'm a pretty reasonable guy, and at the end of the day, it's not really about the money or the lost item, it's simply about the principle... for the move, I tipped both movers $100 each, and bought them lunch. For a company to simply fail to just do the right thing, and replace the lost item is pure ******** (while simultaneously accusing me of lying and guilting me regarding possibly terminating his minimum wage workers). While this place is probably cheaper than the average movers, you DEFINITELY GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I would never use them again, would never recommend them, and I would strongly advise you to look somewhere more reputable and better at handling customer service.
