On 9/27/22, I agreed to finance/purchase additional solar panels for my primary residence and for Milholland Electric to buy out the lease for the solar panels that were already installed on my home. The new solar panels were installed and over the course of many months of reaching out to the company, I was assured that they were working on the solar buyout from my lease (when I financed with Milholland Electric, I financed for the price of the buyout + the cost of new panels). After a while, they were no longer answering phone calls or emails. I have now been continuing to pay the lease and the financed panels (which was supposed to buy out the lease), since the end of 2022. Effectively, Milholland Electric has stolen approximately ****** from me since they never completed the buyout on their end for the leased solar panels on my house (and I am now making two separate payments). They continue to not answer phone calls or emails to resolve the issue. I also believe that my panels may be underproducing, as they don't seem to be generating the amount of solar energy that I was told they would produce. In October, 2022 milholand electric came to our home to install solar panels. They said that they would buy out the other solar companys contract and that it would become just one payment with them. After a year of back and forth with me paying 2 solar systems, I finally spoke *************************** and he said that the buy out would be $9000. I spoke with spruce solar and they said that the buyout is around $25000 and that only I could get the information to make that transaction. *************************** said that I signed the contract for a $9000 buyout, but he hasnt sent me proof of such. Now Im stuck paying two solar companies and many other lies he told me. I want them to buyout my contract like they said and stop ignoring my emails and requests to talk about this matter.Initial Complaint

In 2019 we had 10 solar Panels installed And the salesman **** told us that we would be able to use our saved energy. . Come to find out we have an inverter not a battery. Inverters don't save energy. . That was a flat out llie made by ****.. I also have made at least 50 attempts to talk to someone about this and get a copy of our agreement emailed to us. 3 times they said they would. But I never got that email. Purchased Home Solar panels and installation from Milholland (SIRC). At time of installation, roof was said to need repair. Milholland assisted in securing a roofing contractor and added $10K to the loan as part of the payment to the roofing company. I would be responsible to pay the remaining balance to the roofing company after they made a $10K payment. The roof repair was completed 2/2023 and the installation of the Solar panels and functioning unit were completed May 2023. I confirmed with the roofing company that they have received one payment of $5K from Milholland as of July 2023. I have called and emailed customer service to request they pay the remaining $5K which is due to complete the final payment to ********************* Multiple calls to customer service have not been returned. My last email was sent to ***************************-VP of Finance in December 2023. His response: he apologized and said that he would find out what was going on and provide an update. As of today, April 30, I have not received a response and/or documentation. I need documentation that the complete payment of $10K has been made to Reliance Roofing. Or I request a $5K reimbursement so that I can make the final payment to Reliance Roofing before my credit is damaged.Initial Complaint

My complaint is pretty straight forward. I simply want Milholland Electric to honor the terms of our signed solar contract and distribute to me the $500.00 rebate and $200.00 *********************** gift card which were offered as an incentive for signing up for their services by September 30, 2022.The rebate and gift card are listed under the Additional Components and Allowances section of the contract which was signed on September 30, 2022.The solar panels were finally installed on April 12, 2023.I have sent numerous emails, made many phone calls (which my cell phone records will show), and at one time was told that accounting was aware of the situation and was expediting the process of generating what is owed to me. Now, months later, and just over a year since installation -- efforts to speak with any employee at Milholland Electric have proven fruitless. No one calls back. d it with mastic, but indicated I would need to contact my solar company to pull the panels and properly repair this issue. Here we are and neither Milholand nor SIRC will respond. There is a 10 year warranty on their work and there is still well over 8 years left on the warranty, but it appears they will not honor it by being unreachable and non responsive after many voice mails and e-mails sent. They should not be allowed to operate a business with this extremely poor customer service. I am now stuck with a leaky roof and out of pocket expenses to repair the damages caused by their substandard work.Initial Complaint

A door to door salesman sold me solar panels on behalf of Milholland Electric Inc. They said they could also lend me money for other purposes at a low interest rate. I opted to include a solar loan buy out (previously installed by another company), an air-conditioner unit, and some electrical work in my home. The contract ended up being $61,453 of which the additional work other than the new solar panels would total $28,000. They installed the new solar panels and then refused to give me the money that they promised ($28k). I was in communication with them for over a year and they kept telling me that I would get my money soon. I now believe that this was intentional and they have no intention of paying me said money. I have lots of documentation and it is clearly written.Business Response

The contract attached to the complaint shows a buyout of $16,000 not $28,000...a buyout means paying off what's left on your old solar loan, and an AC unit is not a buyout. A circuit allowance means if there are any additional electrical work such as a main service panel upgrade, sub as main etc... you would have an allowance of $2,000, again this is not part of a buyout.
