Ditto what everyone else said.If these people have wronged you, and if youre here they likely have, heres probably at least one of the laws they broke: California *********************** Code ***** 49 U.S. Code ***** - Preventing tampering 15 U.S. Code 1125 - False designations of origin, false descriptions, and dilution forbidden In addition they probably also lied about the sale price of your car, as they did with me, they lied by almost $2000 on the paperwork they filled out for me to turn into the **** So theyre also committing tax fraud in addition to breaking those other laws.California Code, Revenue and Taxation Code - RTC ***** The difficult thing is gathering evidence, they dont ever directly email you with the price of the vehicle winning bid they do that over the phone, you need to have screenshot that during your auction. ***** also need to have screenshots of the sale page during the auction, as well as pictures of your documents they gave you to take to the *** in order to actually have some sort of evidence against them. These people may be scammers, but theyre professional scammers, they know how to get away with it. Hence, all of us in this mess.Even if you dont have the evidence, if they did break the law and have wronged you, report them to the California Consumer ************************** as well as to the ************************ (FTC), additionally you can also file a complaint through the CA Attorney Generals website as well. You also may find some help by utilizing the California Consumers Legal Remedies Act. If enough people submit reports with the listed government bodies these people will either be audited, or investigated and theyll reap what they sowed. The tax evasion alone is enough to make the state froth at the mouth. Just need other people to also submit reports.
