My car was repo'd on 08/28/22, we paid our dues and were told by agency that car would be released on 08/31/22 but to give them 2hrs to process the release from 10:45am.. I waited until 1pm same day and called San Diego Towing. I was told the release had not come thru from release agency. I call the release agency again and they resent the release info to SD towing again manually to ensure they rcvd it this time around. I called SD Towing again and they claim they could not give me an appt date to pick up my car on the same day. I explained to her that I needed to pick up my car same day as I have been waiting since 10:45am. She said there was nothing they could do and refused to give me location of where my car was at. I explained to her that I did not want to incur any addt'l holding fees for my car. She told me there would not be any addt'l charges. I called all back around 2pm to try to get an appt date or at least verify if the car was released yet and nobody answers the phone. When you call you are placed on hold and after a few minutes the call hangs up so you have to keep calling back. I was finally able to obtain an appt for 09/1 and I am being told we have to pay holding fees, admin fees, redemption fees etc which total $765 and none of this information was provided or disclosed during my calls to them. Per Repo rules they are required to notify us within 48 hrs of pick up with contact info, list of items they allegedly packed and storage fees for **************** They failed to provide this info. I was told by repo agency there were going to be no addt'l charges for days.. why must we may for addt'l holdings fees when they dont provide the best customer service and have very limited appointment dates available to pick up our car. I was also verbally told there would be no addt'l hold fees since my call them on 08/31. This must be deemed illegal as they are stalling to rack up fees without allowing us to pick up our cars
