We had our roof replaced, added 6 solar panels, our house painted and a generator installed. This was all done within 6 month period November 2023, until about ***** may of 2024. This company came out, assisted us with these projects. However, when they installed the 6 panels, we previously already owned 31 panels. We noticed our SCE bill increased from being negative to $1200 a month. We contacted the company they came out. Looked at the solar panels ruined the new roof when they moved the solar panels around. Nothing has been done to fix the problem. They failed to inform us we would be removed from the tier we were one with SCE which we paid little to no money. We now have 37 panels which we cannot even use. We also has a generator installed and hace had thee outages and generator is not working. We contacted ****** the * Tek representative that assisted with this whole project. He sent a technician, the technician is stating the generator is no good and needs to be replaced. Attempted to call ****** several times no response. have left numerous messages with * Tek and no call back. We paid ove 100k for this project and we are completely unsatisfied. This company should be ashamed of themselves, not having the courtesy to call their customers back and make things right.Business Response

First off, I want to start with the initial deceit from your salesperson *****. Both my wife and I heard him tell us numerous times that the 25 year cost of this equipment would be $205 for the 25 year life of the contract. Given that we arent paying that much now but realizing that electrical rates would be increasing we felt this was a fair price. This gave us the impression that we were leasing the equipment long term. We signed the contract but never received a copy through email because the email listed on the contract was incorrect. I believe this was intentional so that we could not cancel within the allotted time given by law. After a couple of weeks, we get a call from Service Finance where it is revealed to us that the ongoing cost would be $205 for the first 18 months then increase to over $300 for the remaining 23 years. This is where I had heated conversations with ***** about this situation and it only then became aware to us that this was not a lease but a complete purchase of the system with a loan with over $40,000 worth of interest!Let me explain that I buy nothing on credit that I pay interest except for my primary ************* to the worst part. The system is professed by your people to be installed. From what I can tell, because the reporting of the system is intermittent at best, it appears that the system is not producing enough electricity to give me independence from the grid. This means not only am I paying more than my overall bill would have been but Im paying solar charges and SCE grid charges which could double my monthly cost.Business Response

In February 2024, my son was approached by a GTech Smart Remodeling sales person to install a government loan solar energy panel with rebate. The initial quote of the project was $37,000. With additional replacement of the heater with a tankless one and remodeling of the kitchen plus a dishwasher, the cost was raised to $78,500. Later my son scrapped the kitchen remodeling and the cost became $62,050. . The new contract was signed by *********************** (co-signed by my mother), but there was no government loan nor rebate. This means that the Navien tankless heater cost us ************=)$25,050. Despite previous requests, ***** did not give us an itemized cost of products and work done finished on June 24, 2024. Their arrangement is to have a financial loan company charging us 6.99% annual interest for the amount of $62,050 and in 180 months we would have to pay $100,328.40. I wrote an email letter to ***** ******************************* on behalf of my son and my 101 years old mother. As of August 1, 2024 I have received no response. This GTech Smart Remodeling company uses tactics to generate deceptive business that will ruin families.Business Response

March 20 ,2024. A tankless water heater installed by G Tech Smart Remodeling failed. The unit was installed on May, 15 of 2023. no advertising or advisement stickers are provided to indicate whom to call for service. I found some paperwork that had G tech estimate and office phone number. I called four days in a row, only to be greeted by an answering device indicating it was full. I was lucky that on the fifth day ******** answered the phone, She seemed very pleasant and concerned about my problem and was able to get a service tech to examine the device a few days later. He is very nice and told us he had o order a replacement control board. We were told it will take 4 to 5 days. After two weeks have passed I called to ask (remind) them about our replacement. I have not *** able to get my phone calls answered by a person. Messege machine remains full. The message machine repeated my phone number and asked if we would like to have a SMS message delivered. I have done this at leas ten times without any response from G tech. All I wanted was to get in contact with the plumber they contracted with to install my heater. today is April 17, and I have still do not have hot water. This unit is still under a warranty. I feel that this company may wait until our coverage expires before repairing the water heater.Business Response

My senior parents (dad 86 and mom 83) signed what they thought was a no cost roof replacement/solar agreement on 4/1/24 from salespeople, **** Atih and **** ***** who said they were from GTech Smart Remodeling. On 4/2 the company (without a permit) sent 5 guys to tear up the roof and put plywood on it at 7:30am. I found out that night that my parents entered into this agreement and helped them cancel via email. We also sent a certified mail letter. I found out they entered my parents into at least two loans ************************* 20 year, 10.9% and the other: Good Leap Financing for 25 years, *****%). After interest it would be about $256K. I canceled the loans, but **** and his "supervisor" ****** ***** came back to try to convince us to at least do the roof and when I said no, they wanted us to sign a release of liability. I've reported them to LA County Elder Abuse and will write to CSLB in addition to BBB. The re-roofing permit which was obtained from the city on 4/3 shows a different contractor altogether: *******************************. The roofers also damaged the pipe to the water heater so we had to get that fixed and my parents have not had heat/hot water for the past 10 days. I need to give my parents peace of mind to get the roof completed and ensure they won't be contacted by these people again. This has caused a lot of stress for the whole family and no other roofer will touch their roof until they're sure these people are off the job. My parents' blood pressure has risen, and they are both very distraught over this issue. Equally as important, we need to ensure all of these people connected to this scam do not do this to other people in the future. They have several reviews on websites stating this intent to scam innocent people, especially elders.Business Response
