    I needed my AC condenser replaced. The condenser unit is also the ATF cooler, and it had a minor ATF leak. First, I thought it was the radiator; I bought a new radiator and later a new AC condenser. To replace the condenser the radiator needs to be removed, so I got estimates for the labor to install new radiator and condenser. The estimates were $900, $800, and $787.50. Midway Automotive & Mufflers was $800; I placed my trust in Midway and scheduled an appointment. On 6/13/24, I drove my car in and was handed a repair order to sign for $1,295, which included 2.5 labor hours for radiator and $240 to replace two hoses. I explained my $800 estimate, a $495 discrepancy. It took Midway fifteen minutes to respond. From behind the counter, as I stood in the waiting area, a man said, "The $800 estimate was preliminary, followed by more untruths. He pointed to my car and said, We are not working on that car for anything less than $980. On 6/14/24, I had my new radiator and AC condenser installed for $787.50, and the new radiator hoses Midway convinced me to bring, when I knew they were not needed, I returned for refund.
