Today I went for service to this location. I am (WAS) a regular customer. I made an appt 2 days prior for ****. When I went in I was asked for my phone number. I gave it to him (the manager). He asked if I was *********************** or some other name. I said my name is *********************** but why do you have someone else with my phone number. He said someone else has the same phone number as me. I told him NO THEY DO NOT. I have had this phone number for 25 years and I can prove it. In addition to that I informed him that I was a victim of fraud recently and filed an alert with all the credit bureaus because someone was using my information for fraud. I kindly asked him if he could remove that phone number from her name. He told me he could not. I asked why. He said he can't remove information from someone else's account. I again told him that that is my phone number and I can prove it he can call the number and it will ring to my phone. I have been a victim of fraud and someone could be using my phone number fraudulently. He did not want to do that and insisted that he cannot and will not remove that phone number from the other woman's account. I got irritated and told him I was going to talk to the manager and that's when he told me that he's the manager. He then asked me do I want my keys back. I told him I want my car service this time. But I will not be coming back to this location. I don't understand why victims of fraud seem to always be revictimized. Why is the person committing the fraud always being protected instead of the person who's the victim. This could have been a simple fix call my phone number it will ring right in front of you and that will prove it is my number. I told him I also have proof that I have a fraud alert and I'm going to get a police report about the fraud which will include that phone number. He was not interested in trying to rectify this matter. Instead sticking to his guns and losing a customer over removing a phone number that is not theirs.
