I called Servpro because I had a leak in my ceiling and I was worried about the water damage. No price was ever given to me over the phone for the service call, just some rough estimates. The men came out and wanted to do a "test" before they could set up any drying devices. They wanted me to sign for this "test". I told them no, because I knew it was going to be an unnecessary $500 asbestos test and my home was built in ****. They checked with their boss who was able to skip the test. The men then wanted to set up fans but stated they would have to wait for the electricity to be back on to plug their fans in. I said, "How does that make sense? They can't turn the electricity back on until it's dry." Then they had to get approval for a generator due to where I lived. I explained they had approval as my neighbors called the fire department in the first place and I had approval from my park. They then got approval from their supervisor and had me sign two documents while I was panicked and they went to get the generator. No prices were ever broken down or explained. My friend had arrived at this point when they had returned with the generator and he explained to never sign anything until agreeing on a set rate. I asked how much the generator would cost to run and Servpro was fishy with the answers saying they had to call to find out. I explained my insurance would likely not be covering this and they said it would be around $250/night to run but if insurance would not cover they would give me a "big discount". I asked how much this "big discount" would be and they had no answer. After I told them I would not be staying in my home and did not require the generator, their attitude changed and I said I would call after hearing from insurance. They continued to call me day after day, eventually calling my insurance after hours and demanding to speak to a supervisor. They were very rude and upset after I denied them and sent me a bill for $328. They never did anything
