      On May 3, *** came to inspection the fire system, after the guy finished, I paid them $1054.28, he left around 9:20. And later after 2 hours, around 11:25, when we started cooking, the system activated, I called them came back to fix their problem right away, about 2 hours, the guy came back, but he has no idea to fix, he stayed my restaurant about 4 hours, and other guy came, just half hour he fixed the problem. And then they left, didnt said we need to pay ( the normal after they finished they would charge us right away) but few days later, they sent me the email I needed to pay them almost $2300. The day caused us close whole day cant do business. I was so angry, went to office asked, why they charge me, you didnt do a good job, caused that problem. The manager said it was our problem, the part didnt work. I said you come to inspection, must be make sure everything works good , but the manager said they just do visual check! I said l paid you thousands you tell me just visual check that about fire safety? It makes sense? I told him I cant pay this bill($2300). In these few months they keep sent me the email, reduced the bill around $1400. But I asked him what purpose on their work, but they always skip my question didnt want to answer me. And the bill keep sent to me up to $2373.73.

      Having received the notice of your complaint, I followed up with the manager of that department on the concern expressed by ***** *****. After reviewing her complaint, and after verifying our actions on that day, it is our intention to cancel the bill sent to ***** ***** for the repair services she received after her Hood Suppression System activated. The Department Manager will be contacting the customer in the next couple of days to advise them of this ************** billing and our resolution to the complaint.

       

      While the failure of a tension wire is not something that is reasonably foreseeable, the fact that it occurred within two hours of our service leads me to want to make it right with the customer. The best analogy I could give is when you change out a failing water pump on an automobile with a new pump, the resulting pressure and water flow will increase. While the water pump hose is visually inspected, it is not required to be replaced as part of the service.  Subsequently, if the hose later fails it is not a result of negligence in replacing the hose, but an unforeseen failure of the hose following a service.   In the same way, we could not have foreseen the failure of the tension wire. As an external part it was visually inspected with no apparent damage. Unfortunately, the tension wire failed following the service, resulting in an activation of the system.

       

      While I do not feel this incident was our fault or due to our negligence, as stated previously, the timing of the failure compels me to want to make it right with the customer and remove the charges for the repair.  Please let me know if you have any questions.
