Kaiser's long-standing dominate presence in the healthcare community holds them to a higher standard of professionalism and care than others. But they are not accountable to uphold a standard of excellence in health patient equity. They continue to lag behind in the basest procedures, processes, and communications to members. The automated system needs a lot of improvement. The staff continues to lack knowledge of their jobs or provide erroneous information. They are NOT adequately trained to provide members proper or appropriate assistance.Almost every single time (over many decades) I have called any department to ask any question, I never get the correct answer, or representatives will just leave you on the line. Our patient's rights are not enforced. Doctors/care team personnel are negligent in addressing our care needs.Olders patients need professional advocacy to address neglect.

It took Kaiser doctors five years to determine that I had severe brain trauma as four of their radiologists, including the chief of our local KP radiology department, misread my MRIs (and followed this by lying about her findings and that of her employee!). Meanwhile they kept trying to fob me off on psychiatry. A neuropsychologist continued to insist over years that I had mental health issues, and when I resisted psychiatry she literally created fake office visits that never occurred and diagnosed me in my absence. When I brought her actions to Kaiser's attention, their grievance operations people repeatedly denied that I had done anything wrong. When I persisted with my grievances, she fabricated a letter claiming that I was a security threat to Kaiser and sent it to me anonymously via certified mail. I was forced to quit Kaiser because Kaiser refused to investigate her and I didn't want to have to go through security as a disabled person; essentially, I was charged with crimes for which there was no evidence and punished with the threat of having the police called on me if I didn't go through security!!! Kaiser has deep systemic problems and they're just too greedy and lazy to fix them.
