    Bought a benjilock electronic luggage lock with fingerprint sensor and keypad at a large local Ace hardware/lumber company last fall. In original packaging with Hampton logo and info on package and instructions. Fingerprint sensor worked reasonably well, but keypad never functioned. The cheap charger supplied with unit broke, with a.c. Prong breaking off completely.Called Hampton, spoke with a pleasant customer service *** who transferred me to a warranty ***. *** stated they discontinued the product a couple of years ago and that another company now makes/sells it. Also stated they did not list the Ace store as an authorized seller. *** refused to honor the warranty listed on the items packaging and instructions in any way. I advised her that was not at all any good/excellent customer service and that I certainly would not consider purchasing any of her companys products in the future and would advise members of my family and professional peers to do the same! I thanked her for her time and hung up. Avoid this companys products if at all possible

    We appreciate the opportunity to respond to this concern.Hampton Products was previously affiliated with the ********* brand but legally separated from it several years ago. Following that separation, we honored all warranty obligations for authorized purchases for the legally required period. As part of the transition, we also removed all BenjiLock inventory from our warehouses and ceased support for the brand.Unfortunately, we are unable to provide warranty support for this product, as it is no longer manufactured, sold, or serviced by Hampton Products. We understand the consumers frustration and regret that we could not meet their expectations. In situations like this, we typically recommend returning the product to the retailer for a refund or exchange, or contacting the current ********* brand owner directly for support.We remain committed to providing quality service for the products we currently manufacture and support, and we sincerely regret any inconvenience this situation has caused.
