      I was enrolled in the unitek college in **** ,******. I called on August ****** to let them know I was not going to make it due to a death. On August,7,2024 I called in and talked to MonicaBarlow she didnt under stand the question. About the drug policy she had me write and email stating. I needed to be withdrawn from the school because of the use of ********. I w was never drug tested at all.I'm going to attach how their school policy reads.they lied saying I wrote the letter with being told to by *************************. I had 6 witnesses that clearly heard her state I need you to write and email stating that you was around it and the reason why so I can with draw you. And I refuse to pay them for the supplies I received cause I never really got to attend their school campus. It clearly states you have to have a drug test and it has to be positive to be with drawn. They break their own policy so this school is defrauding the government. Needs to be shut down permanently.

      Customer cancelled their enrollment by sending the following e-mail to the Director of Admissions on August 7, 2024: I have to be withdrawn due to the fact you are federally funded and the marijuana Policy due to health problems I am around it daily and would test positive. Sorry Im a very honest person sometimes to honest for my own good.


      According to Unitek Colleges Student Handbook: Cancellation shall occur when the student provides notice of cancellation at the address of their respective campus. This can be communicated by mail, email or hand delivery.


      Furthermore, the Customer owes ********************** for the supplies they received because they picked up all the equipment, scrubs, and Chromebook,which were opened and remain in their possession.


      According to the Student Handbook, Books, educational supplies or equipment for individual use are not included in the policy for refund required by Section 1 above, and a separate refund must be paid by the institution to the student if those items were not used by the student. For example, Textbooks and Chromebooks which have been opened (e.g. shrink wrap removed, or removed from their original packaging) cannot be returned for a refund and/or adjustment, regardless of condition. Disputes must be resolved by the Administrator for refunds required by this subsection on a case-by-case basis.

      I got withdrawn from the program and not one person notified as to why. I asked multiple times to contact me to at least let me know why exactly and no one called me to let me know. When I first signed up so many people calling me multiple times for what just to take my money? Or I should say the government money that I'm stuck with repaying. I will never recommend this school to no one ever. I do want my money back.

      On July 15, 2024, Consumer received an e-mail notification of their withdrawal from the program, which outlined the reasons for the decision. On July 17, 2024, a ******* Services Adviser spoke with Consumer via the phone and explained to them why they were withdrawn from the program and explained the school's policy. Further, on the same day, Consumer was again informed via ZenDesk why they were withdrawn from the program and the school's policy.

      This complaint is direct to the Unitek-***** College campus and in particular Mr. ************************ First of all I would like to state that our country is in a heathcare worker crisis and having instructors like *************** is making the issue expediently worse. Unitek lists their overall philosophy as working for the success of every student however that if far from the attitude and treatment given. *************** is a narcissistic, egomaniac that spends his time deriving a curriculum and tests for the sole purpose of tricking students to fail. He toots his own horn at every given opportunity. He has no business being in a position of influence over young people trying to better themselves and society. He changes test score for those he thinks can pass a licensure exam he so proudly was involved in a half a century ago. Times change ****************. Having an overall grade of B, but a testing average 68% is not a failure on the students part, it is the sole fault of the instructor. Especially given the fact 4 questions were dropped on the final because the preferred students missed them. Leaving the subpar students that actually got the questions correct to suffer. When students ask for guidance or clarification he blatantly tells them to drop out, stop wasting their time and money because they will never succeed. Have you seen the failure and increasing suicide rates in young adults? ***************, ***** College and Unitek are the reason why our medical system is the worst it has ever been in the history of our country. They are setting people up to fail at the low cost of 50k+ for an associates degree! They should be ashamed of their policies and actions and should definitely not be accredited and eligible for government funding. If *********************** is as outstanding and all knowing in the field of Physical Therapy as he claims, why is he not a tenured professor at ******* or practicing at the *********** instead of ruining peoples lives at a 2yr college in ***** ****?

      The teachers selected to teach the class should not be teaching. They dont have clear communication and dont explain concerns/procedures correctly. Students were constantly asking for clarification. PowerPoints lectured in class are different than whats given for students to print out in canvas. Wrong quiz was given to students and then blamed them for it. Cant get a clear answer when asking teacher questions; seems to be upset and impatient with students. Seems to have a hard time teaching. Doesnt know how to teach. Assistant director did nothing when told about these problems. Lied about how ATI quiz questions are chosen. Not helpful. Didnt lecture on subject covered in quizzes.

      This institution is a rip off, they talk a good game when joining once enrolled they will never follow through with anything. Director is the worst no follow up, terrible communication skills, the instructors the play favorites with the students. They will take your money and tell you to figure it out. I was told you have to teach yourself 80% of the work they will only help with 20%. Majority of the time is spent rotating classrooms and not learning. They say they are not to provide a focus review for each quiz but they do that anyway. Quizzes are questions the instructors make up but they dont make any sense. You will have to get your answers from quizlet or ******* Which means ****** is teaching you. This institution is a scam. They should not be accredited. The promises they make upon enrollment is great, however there is no follow through no follow up nothing. I would never recommend anyone attend this place.
