We have reviewed the details surrounding this complaint and the subsequent communications we have had regarding the performance and suitability of the emissions-legal calibration for the vehicle in question. The background, the customer contacted us to get a production calibration and flash tool/device with tool credits. The vehicle was an older, high mileage, modified vehicle with some of our mechanical hardware installed and customer wanted to try and fix issues he's had from other shops and or previous modifications. The customer was shipped the flash tool/device and delivered credits per the purchase.

We only offer standard production, emissions-legal calibration, designed for vehicles that adhere to factory specifications, as expressly stated in our documentation, both in the instructions and terms and conditions. We clearly don't offer custom services as were bound by emission laws and we strictly only offer our tested and validated calibrations. The vehicle had undergone modifications prior to using our calibration, which is beyond the intended scope of the product or service purchased.

We made a good faith effort to assist in rectifying the issues that arose, based on the information provided us. Unfortunately, the communications from customer ceased before we could arrive at a solution. Our product and service terms do clearly state the limitations and appropriate applications of this particular calibration, and we believe we have fulfilled our contractual obligations in supplying a legal product.

We understand vehicle modifications introduce complexities that standard calibrations may not fully address. However, the calibration purchased is not designed to work with modified vehicles, a detail outlined in our terms and conditions and instructions. Thus, we can't be held responsible for performance issues arising from vehicle modifications that are outside of our control. That said, customer satisfaction is a priority for us. We would be willing to re-engage in communications to see how we might assist further, within the boundaries of our product capabilities and terms of service.

Customer purchased a HP Tuner flash tool, flash credits and calibration to try and fix his previously illegally modified 16-year old vehicle. We have no control over modifications, we can't see them since the vehicle is not in our hands, nor can we test without feedback from the customer. We worked to best get the vehicle running within the confines of our 50-state legal calibration, but with limited information and gaps in information/feedback from customer, time dragged on. Then the customer disappeared and would not supply information, filed claim with credit card company, while still having flash tool and credits. We supplied our standard, legal calibration, which is what the customer purchased with the flash tool and credits, that was delivered as ordered. We went out of our way to try and work through customers issues, but we can't control modifications, degradation or other potential issues that they may have. We at no time refused to help or work with customer, the customer chose to walk away. According to the data we have, of the vehicle operation, at no time, was the vehicle unable to operate. While he may not prefer the driving manners, that is not a valid complaint, as its extremely subjective. 16 year old vehicle could have worn transmission, bad fuel pump, underperforming engine, bad sensors, etc. Again, that's why we tried to help customer, something was changed outside our control or something deviated that we don't control.
