I felt comfortable paying for half upfront and another $2,000 when asked because he had a license and bond. The he hounded me for more money while saying he didn't want to do any of the work until all of it was ready. He said he had to reschedule an appointment with the utility company that I confirmed never existed. They confirmed he never filed any paperwork for the job. It has been almost a year. The CSLB is looking into the matter and he already has at least one person in front of me with a claim on his bond. This man is a scammer.

Here you go here is the proof that we had came to an agreement. Attached are the text messages directly between john and I as well as the check written as well as the email from the bond company saying the complaint was resolved

I am rejecting this response because:

    Hello,

**** did the same thing to you he first pulled on surety.  That is, he sent evidence he came to an agreement with me to settle my claim against his license.  Problem is that he never delivered on that.

The surety then finally made him set to a new agreement, which he has given official notice of his intent to fail.  Shortly after he was caught in a lie about setting an appointment with PGE, he offered a refund.  That was half a year ago, and the check has been in the mail every day.  Surety finally made him mail it.  And now he is already telling me it wont cash.

    Thanks,

    Good morning,
I'm the new home owner. The electrician was supposed to finish the electric panel job around August. The previous home owner has already paid for the service. There has been many different reasons for postponing the work. First it was covid, then it was PG &E backlog, now he says his truck is stolen with his tools. I have waited patiently. But I feel this work will not get done.

    Thank you!

    Business Response

    Good afternoon,
This email is in response of the complaint filed. Let me began by stating that my agreement for the electrical work at this address is not with the new owner of the house who has filed this complaint but is with the old owner of this property and legally I have no binding agreement between the person who filled this complaint nor has this person given me any money personally for any work to be done at his house. Again my agreement was with the previous homeowner who had sold the house to this person of which I have communicated with. Now when it comes to me communicating with this new home owner I did say that I would do electrical at his residence out of the kindness of my heart although legally I have no binding agreement with this person nor has the person of this complaint given any type of money to my company. Yes life throws it curve balls at us and we have to adapt to various situations like rescheduling appointments and yes my family did catch covid and pg&e has been back logged which none this I can control. Further more about one of my trucks being stolen this to is true and it put me out about $20,000 in losses and if I truly needed I could show this with a copy of the police report from Clovis PD. But again non of this is relevant due to the fact that the Company has nothing legally binding us to complaint. This complaint is not a valid complaint since neither I nor my company has made any contract with the person who filed this complaint nor has this person paid any money to me or the company. The original homeowner who sold this house to the complaining person signed an agreement stating that no refunds would be given, how ever I am willing to deal with the original seller of this house since that is who my agreement is with. As far as a refund or demand for install by this person who filed this complaint neither will be given due to the fact that nor I or my company legally owe this person anything and further more we respectfully ask that this complaint be removed due to the fact that it is not a valid complaint because there is no binding contract with this person nor has this person given any type of payment directly or personally. Thank You for your time.
