- As of 2/19/2015, the California Contractor's State Licensing Board confirmed that Grump's Iron Works does not have a Contractor's State License.
The California Contractor's State Licensing Board sent out a press release dated February 19, 2015 stating Daniel Garcia Lopez, Grump's Iron Works in Fresno was cited during CSLB's SWIFT undercover operation on Feb. 10th 2015 for contracting without a license and illegal advertising.
A state-issued contractor license is required for any home improvement job that is $500 or more in combined labor and material costs (Business and Professions Code section 7028). State law also requires unlicensed contractors to state in all advertising that they are not licensed (Business and Professions Code section 7027.1).
