    These people were walking around my neighborhood and scammed me for $2,800. I am an elderly and they took my check book and said they will fill out their name and amount and pulled bait and switch on me. They said they would clean my yard and barely did any work. They did not tell me they were charging so much, they said I would get a senior discount and my daughter tried to reach them but they didnt leave me a card or receipt!

    Hello,

    I'm writing to respond to the complaint received about our business.

    We do door knocking to advertise our business and to find work on a daily basis. This is how we came across this property on Black Tail Drive. 

    I could confirm that the work that was carried out at the property was 2 days. We did a huge yard clean up in the back yard and also trimmed the 2 trees in the backyard. *********************** was very happy on the day we had completed the job. We also had 2-3 trailer loads from the work we had done at his property. We started the job on a Thursday and had to come back the next day to finish it off (which was a Friday) For all our customers, we don't take payment, unless they are happy and have checked to make sure that everything agreed on was completed. And I could also confirm that he was very happy on the day with the work we had done, and paid us as agreed. There were no intentions to scam him at all, and I think the price we had estimated for him was fair. His backyard was a huge mess and we did a good job cleaning it up. This was not a small job for sure. Especially with 2-3 trailer loads taken to the waste.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    We were told it would be a senior discount and would not be over $1,000.  When it was time, to pay, they asked we provide a blank check and they will fill in the amount and made sure it was signed.

     

    Also, to date, we were not provided with a receipt for the work done, break down of what was done and a before and after picture to show the proof of work completed.
